Interesting. I will say watching it a couple times, the MSU defenders switched appropriately and did not appear to be "thrown off" by the action.
The reason the shooter ultimately got enough space to get the shot off was because of number 7's screen.
But fun to watch, nonetheless.
Hey it's creative and it worked so I like it! That being said the move almost helps facilitate a switch when you think about it. Very cool way to gain/maintain momentum through the motion though.
It will not work if the defense is paying zone. This isn't really old school, its action is just like screening
Makes me wonder if there's any rule that prevents teammates from pulling/lifting/throwing a teammate for any type of advantage. Or like something that would prevent a Muggsy Bogues type from running between a tall center's legs etc.
Start giving male cheeleaders scholarships and get them to hoist dudes up and hold them by their taints?
We just aren't that good. We play better defense than last year, but our bigs just aren't skilled. Middle of the pack SEC team that may or may not show up. Of course the refs are shitty too, but we aren't that good right now.
Doesn't matter this team needs to show up with energy. It almost feels like they are throwing the game sometimes I swear. Would have rather lost this one so they can get the "top 10" team BS out of their heads. They are playing like an unranked team at the moment SMH.
They are like one guard away from being pretty decent imo.
