Will the SEC continue its dominance in 25-26?

Didn't realize I had to be addressed to respond to a post on an anonymous college basketball forum.

As for college baseball, no one cares about that sport in comparison to football and basketball.

No one watches the regular season, at all...and to put things in context for you, this past CWS averaged 2.8 million viewers. That is it. Compare that to the tens of millions that watch all rounds of the CFP and the NCAA Tournament, and I think you get the point.

So if what he said is true (which you say he doesn't know what he is talking about), that is incredibly stupid.
You don't if you don't inquire if your response is required.

Baseball is popular and to say otherwise is silly, especially in the SEC.

What AB said was emotional. We already pay our coach Barnes more than Pope and we both know UK doesn't skimp on CBB. We finished in the E8 for the second year in a row and S16 or better the last 3 years. We had to have players to do that.

Baseball, specifically college, is not popular, whatsoever, and all the TV ratings and viewership numbers back that up.

Nobody watches it.

I don't know if you have been to a recent UK baseball game, but if you had you would know y'all have a $50 million dollar stadium (Proud Park), so y'all seem to think baseball matters. There are 300 div 1 college baseball teams in the country. Baseball teams play twice as many games as CBB and they have a world series.

UT and UK can draw 20,000 fans to a basketball game, but 95% of college basketball can't come close to that. College baseball is the #4 most popular sport in college sports.

Having a brain fart, what is 3rd above baseball?

I'm going to be surprised if Florida is picked a top the SEC preseason next year. I think they have a slght dip and it's UT,Bama,Auburn, and UK fighting for the top spot

A slight dip would be an understatement. I fully expect to be middle of the pack next year (which isn't that bad of a place honestly) Coming into this year I knew we'd be solid from the returning guys. Next year I have no idea. We have some solid guys, but we have no idea what the full roster will look like.

I really really like UK's transfer portal adds. Bama will regret letting go of Diabate IMO. Kid was just a winner. Only guy on that team that I never saw shaken up or checked out. He was very much a Rodman like player without the Rodman drama.

At Tennessee we put all our money in football and baseball hard to have top dollar for basketball too. Our baseball NIL is top 3 in the nation
One Tennessee fan says that UT started caring about basketball and does put money into it so is this true or no? One would have to think that’s why UT has never been a threat to make a final four right?

The Vols were more of a FF threat than UK this year.

Agree to disagree. Houston was literally Tennessee on steroids. I dont think you win that matchup very often and I highly doubt UK would've either.
UF beat Houston, UK beat Duke and UT gave UF its worst beating this year. Things can be completely different from game to game.

Yeah, but that's transitive property stuff and that’s been proven to be a really bad way to decide winners.
Truth is, Houston had the #1 ranked defense and the #9 rated offense, Florida's ranking were very similar (6 and 2).
UK and Tennessee had too many flaws. Tennessee was a step below Houston defensively and quite a bit below them offensively (17th)
After watching Tennessee play Houston, it was very clear they were a terrible matchup for Tennessee and Houston would have absolutely dog walked UK, we weren't tough enough to hang with that Houston team.
Florida had the best guard trio and enough length up front to neutralize Houston's tenacity, then it came down to one player stepping up to make big plays in crunch time.

Not really, I said could and not would.
