BJ was Florida Class 8A Player of the Year (the highest and best in the State) - and finished 2nd in Florida Dairy Farmers Mr. Basketball Award. Joel played in the lowly 4A divison which inflated his stats.

Taylor was the 8A POY that year. Joel won the 4A. The overall Mr Basketball was Joel Berry. Taylor didn’t beat out Berry for anything.
