This is a joke right? Texas isn’t seriously being considered at 16-15 for an at large bid? Sure, they beat Purdue and UNC, big deal. BC beat Minnesota, FSU, and Louisville, should we give them a bid too?

Bottom line is, Texas has proven they can do one thing all season long—lose to good teams. I’d much rather see a team like Belmont or St. Mary’s.

Clemson is 7-12 vs Quads 1 and 2 by comparison. 1-9 vs Quad 1. Why take them over Belmont?

I really hope Belmont gets in. A good squad that is used to winning. I’d much rather see someone like that get in than a sub .500 big conference team, but the selection committee usually screws the small conference bubble teams so I’m not holding out much hope.

Belmont beat Lipscomb twice. If they both end up on the bubble, that would be hard to ignore (even though I don't think they value head to head very highly, if at all)

Garbage like this is why the field needs to shrink to a respectable number. Are we trying to crown a champion or not.

Everyone understands a 6-6 or 7-5 team has zero business being included in any expanded football playoff scenario. Why do we waste time with these garbage teams in basketballs championship playoff?

Field needs to shrink for sure. Maybe make more of the lower seeds have play ins to get to a 32 team field or something that way you don’t lose the amount of games....

The size of the tournament is great and shouldn’t change. What should change is the criteria to get in. I’d bet 95% of CBB would want to see Lipscomb or Belmont get in over Texas.

1 loss for both teams in a tournament championship automatically eliminates them, but 15 losses (some bad ones) for Texas doesn’t?

Belmont and Lipscomb are legit. Scary teams that you wouldn’t want to see in the tourney. And no, Texas should not get in.

Texas is garbage. I don’t think Indiana has done enough yet either to get in. They will need to win a few games in the big ten tournament to get in.

Part of what makes March Madness and the NCAA tournament so great is teams like Belmont, Lipscomb, Wofford in the tournament.

I think if they beat ohio state they should be in. They would have like 7 quad 1 wins.

Big 12 getting 8 teams in and Texas is going to be on the 11/12 line.
Might have to play in the play in game.

Interested in seeing what Shaka Smart does in the Big 12 tournament.

Truthfully think Texas is best served as a 12 but Texas is a bad matchup for Kansas because of Jaxson Hayes.

Who is on the Tournament committee...

If you want to blame anyone blame the PAC 12...
The PAC 12 shit the bed. Too much money involved to start handing Power Conference spots to mid majors.

Belmont is not represented in that room.
Texas, Indiana and NC State are.

I’m going to the game. I think Texas tosses KU in KC

I like the suggestion that you can't be an at large team if you have a losing conference record. It's a joke that these P5 teams can suck most of the year but get in over non P5 teams because of their "stronger" resume.

To me it's astonishing that people think the Big XII might get 8 teams in. The Big XII is not good this year.

KSU, TT, KU, Baylor and ISU are the only teams that deserve to get in imo.
