Thanks for posting this Alum-Ni. Lots of great stadiums. A few of my favorites:

    - Florida St; Love the way they incorporate acadmic buildings and the rest of the university into the stadium. Notre Dame does a good job at this as well.
    - Duke; Love the renovated stadium. Reminds me of what Pitt Stadium could’ve looked like had it been renovated instead of torn down.
    - Clemson/Virginia; I like the grass seating for students.
    - Wake Forest; Might be the smallest ACC stadium, but love how close you are to the field. Hard to explain it, but there’s something about it I just like. I like Vandy’s stadium for a similar reason.

Most probably don't know, but we are putting stadium seating in throughout the stadium except for the stiludent section known as the tar pit. It will reduce capacity by about 10,000.

Louisville's largest crowd ever was almost 10k people below capacity? That can't be right?

Have been to games @ Duke, @ FSU, @ GT, @ Louisville, @ Miami (Fla.) and @ Pittsburgh.

Have walked thru @ Clemson, @ UNC and @ VPI when empty.

Have peeked through the fence @ Wake while empty!

Still need to visit @ BC, @ Syracuse, @ UVA and @ NC State.

No kidding. I forgot about them since they aren’t ACC. Didn’t they just add that to Folsom recently? I remember they had some sort of renovation/expansion a few years ago.

Since we live in Kansas City now, I really want to check out Colorado soon. I figured we could make a weekend out of it during the fall, going to a Buffs game and then checking out the mountains.

Yes they did, they added The Champions Center which is the building in the bottom left corner in the top photo and a new indoor practice building which you can see the corner of on the left side of the photo. If you do make it out to a game let me know. I'm across the street from the stadium and you are welcome to stop by for a beer. At the moment I can hear The Dead and Company just starting their concert.

Sounds good, will do. We knew some people who lived right across the street from Lambeau Field. Not sure if this is the case with you, but they said it’s a blessing and a curse living right across from a stadium. It’s awesome that you’re right next to it and don’t have to pay for parking, but when you just want to get some sleep... good luck.

All blessings no curse for me. Campus activities never bother me but my cat didn't like the firework display at the stadium on the 4th.

On second thought, they did have two young kids so it was a bit different for them.

Any other Noles disappointed with the recent renovations?

I mean, it looks really cool... but I think it was a dumb idea because it made what were the cheapest seats into more expensive "club level" seats. It also reduced our overall capacity but made the worst seats more expensive... I don't see that section full very often which furthur hurts our attendance.

My dream for the DOAK was to make the student section bigger so the rows would go all the way to the top all the way around the stadium like Michigan or Notre Dame hopefully bringing our overall capacity over 100k like the big dogs.

Nevertheless, we still got the most beautiful stadium on the planet...

Did you know? Doak S. Campbell stadium is the world's largest continually brick structure.

    In other words...

We got the biggest brick house in world. SmokinSmile

I think the capacity is about right. I don’t think we’d ever fill a 90k. I held season tickets through the ‘06 season and even in the 90’s we really only filled it at 80k+ for the biggest of games. We get good again and we can fill it, looks so much better than 5k empty seats for shit like Wake

True... and that's probably what they figured. We don't always fill it up... but now the seats are more expensive. But if we're good enough, the club level will get fillled. Guarantee the DOAK is filled to the max for Coach Taggart's first game.

And maybe he'll win us a few Titles and we can make the student section look like the club level with around a 90k capacity that we can fill consistently in 20-30 years.

Anyone on here sat in the club level yet?

Honestly, we should reduce capacity back even further. Back to about 72k. Increase demand for the tickets and force people to actually have to donate and/or buy season tickets in order to get solid seats.

Regarding the Champions Club, it’s typically full. It’s just that the people are mostly inside.

Thanks for the pictures! Alumni will have an indoor practice and new weightlifting center. It will be in the area you see cars tailgating next to the practice field. Also a second field is being built. Both will be ready this month and paid for by our alumni, fans, and our Gridiron Club. The site opened up because our softball and bball teams have new parks across the street. I have been to Duke,NC,NCST,GT,UVA,Clemson and Maryland before they left.

Man Miami has really come far. Look at that awesome stadium they have.

It easily rivals some of the NFL stadiums around the country.

Good work becoming a real football team Miami
