We had a Rottweiler and Chocolate Lab that would do this with moles we would get in the yard. Each one would get on opposite ends of the tunnel and start digging towards each other until they got it. Rottweiler would only kill it , Lab would eat it if we didn't stop him. He even yanked one out of the ground one time and threw it up in the air like the T Rex in Jurassic Park.

We used to have a cat who would kill moles. Loved it. Then a coyote got him I think. Now my cats just mess with squirrels. Worthless.
