he has every right to. However Nike has far reaching tentacles that could have a negative impact in his possible NBA career.

Zion was always going to get a Nike shoe contract, just going to be a little fatter now.

Oh the irony, Nike foots the bill for Zion to attend Duke only to see their shoe blow out? Given the live audience, has there ever been a more visible catastrophic consumer product failure? Karma is a nasty bitch.

Not saying you're wrong, but considering the Adidas angle, KU fans should sit this one out. You guys have very few skeletons left in the closet. lol

Why not sue Duke? Or McDonald's? Amirite? Cuz he's fat. Get it?
The people that call him fat are ******ed. Dude is a stud and extremely fast. He’s your best player even better than Barrett who will be drafted 2. Nobody will take Barrett over what Zion is doing

Sit this one out? Why? I am going to enjoy the fvck out of the Nike investigation.

I laughed.

I’m sure Nike will pay Zion plenty.

I am concerned that they are trying to cut so much weight from shoes that some thing like this could happen again. Maybe to someone who is not important.

This was seen in sailboat racing where the boats were made so light they started to breakup and sink.

They interviewed an ex pro athlete on the radio here the other day and asked him about it. He was like, 'oh yeah, I've seen it happen several times'. So apparently it is certainly uncommon but not unheard of. I also bet the people that make my Nike shoes aren't the same people who make his.

Nike should spin this as a positive. Zion is so big and powerful that normal shoes can't contain him. Then market his signature shoe with some extra strong lockdown foot cage thing or whatever...... Profit.

Hmm, yeah, that could work. Plus, ESPN would eat it up and market it for them.

Maybe Zion shouldn’t be so fat
