Grand Cypress New Course in Orlando - we had a group of 12, and we played 36...shot 75 in the morning round of the East/South course...took a break for lunch, came back out in the afternoon like CarDale against Bama- on fire..bogey free, Eagle on hole 2, birdies on holes 5,6,8,15, and 18...it was pretty awesome- I've shot 66 a few times- told my buddy as I was standing over my 15 foot birdie putt on 18, that I needed to make it for a new personal low, and dead center...but yea, all in all a great day...The New course is wide open, and we played the "blended tees" which were 6500 on the card, but I felt it played much shorter.

    THE end.

Congrats! 65 would be a career low for me too (by about 20 strokes).

I shot a 65 one time. I was super happy. My buddies were all, you sure you don't wanna play the back nine? I was like, nah, I'm good.

Hotdogs just too good at the halfway house to continue.

Joking aside, that is serious golfing.

no, your boy Smitty golfs in central Florida,...... and not THE GOAT cities.

If he ever wants to Golf in the GOAT golf areas, he is invited up here and we'll take him out to Medinah CC or Cantigny.

It's rounds like what you had that keeps us coming back to this hellishly frustrating, profanity laced hobby.

Keep this memory and cuddle it.

It'll keep you warm on the day your body decides to power slice a tee-off over a line of trees, then off and over the roof of the club owners personal residence, bouncing down a residential street until finally resting next to a mound of pea gravel.

I played it where it lied.

Congrats Smitty. I have "played" golf and did nothing but embarrass myself.
The best part of my game is cart driving.

Should have had Urban report your score. He could have claimed you got a 55

How drunk were you? You need to analyze every part of the performance to see if it can be duplicated or if it was just a one-shot wonder, like Clemson’s beatdown of OSU a couple of years ago.

Had a steady flow of coors light flowing, but it was so hot, just sweated it right outand went through almost a full can of skoal pouches during the 36 holes...it's funny I've been playing very well the past 3 months, and I usually drink at least a few beers on the golf course...last Sunday I decided to play completely sober and I fired an 81 at my home course...never again lol

lol you’ve found your groove. Congrats on your game, btw. I’ve made par on one hole in my entire life and that was a par 3 with a 30 yard chip shot that went right to the hole like there was a magnet at the bottom of the cup. My moment of glory lasted until my next shot, which went wild.

That’s amazing!! Congratulations. I am still looking for that sub par finish. I’ve come in at par a few times but never under.

Shot a 73 on a really hard Bay Area course in a strong wind last October. Still not sure what happened. Certainly haven’t been able to duplicate it.

Played there a couple years ago, nice track.

I shot 76 today, not good enough to start my own thread so I’ll just highjack yours.
