Texas has one final 4 since 1947 and has never even made the NCAA tournament title game.

I can’t see another program paying Calipari what hes making at UK coming off the worse season of his career and a now 6 year stretch that’s also far from his best.
I’d actually love to be wrong though and for Texas to save Mitch barnhardt and UK basketball from that joke of a contract he gave Cal. His buyout right now is like 52.5 million dollars.

So basically, Shaka Smart felt that the school might fire him if he underperforms next year, so he decided to quit on them first. Now it looks like he is ditching Texas rather than Texas is going to fire him.
Last year Kentucky fans were hyper-defensive about Calipari...now they'd trade him for a bottle of bourbon.

Frustrations with Calipari didn’t start this season, things just seemed to finally explode after being built up for so long. Even when we were winning, he always found ways to annoy the fan base with words and answers to questions that really didn’t make sense. “This is the best night in the history of Kentucky basketball” just nonsense like that.
Now we are at the point where he’s missed the tournament 2 times in 8 years. No Final Four in six seasons. And the roster turnover is worse than ever, even with season to season results on the decline.
I have said a few other times, I think Cal deserves a year to fix this. But am I going to be upset if he leaves? Nope. Seems like he has had a foot out the door for a while anyways.

Yeah, Kentucky bourbon is pretty great.
I would start off at Billy Donovan and Brad Stevens. If they both deny us sex, throw the boat at Nate Oats.
I like Donovan and Stevens. I would be a little concerned about Oats. I would like to see what he does at bama after all the Sr's leave.
I’d make a few guys that seem unlikely at least say no first. Donovan, Tony Bennett(play style but the dude wins. He’s dominated the ACC.
