SEC / Big 12 challenge

Technically UK should be playing at AFH again. KU played in Rupp more times than UK played there.

Anyone of those top 3 matchups could be potential Top 10 showdowns. I look forward to all three of those battles.

TCU is probably the school that hosed the most. They're a borderline top 10 team and they're being paired with an NIT team.

This will get a lot more bites than it should. 🤣
ehh. Uk fans might respond but it'll be to the question. Not some lame troll bait.

Again, just look at last years game. I can provide a link.

Do agree KU and UK should play every year in this challenge. If not who would you want to play? You're only behind UK by 24-10.

You know things have gotten bad for Kentucky when the highlight of your season was some meaningless regular season non conference game

That's a highlight for your program.
It basically Would be a highlight for Uk now also. You guys keeping Cal around pretty much solidifies that your program has lowered it’s standards and no longer cares about winning at the highest levels

HOF Calipari. As bad as he's perceived to be, he's still better than Pearl.

BTW, Pearl is 10-16. Self > Pearl.

Seriously @AuHoosier420 do you wish you were playing KU? Why do you think they match you up with WVU?
I just want to see them rotate the matchups each year. It’s not the Kentucky/ Kansas challenge. It’s the SEC/big 12 challenge. Kind of funny though that to lowe revenue producing members of each conference get top billing though

It's great for when we're not playing in the Champions Classic. People want to see it. The ratings prove it.

Top billing. UK and KU will always get the primetime spot. They are the main event.

Damn. Even this got a bite and I wasn't baiting. 🤣

Glad you're so proud of that game. I kind of forgot about it after my team won the national championship.

We all know that chaps Pearls narcissistic ass. He's peaked at Au. It has to burn him up.
Pearl is not a narcissist at all. Calipari is the textbook definition of it though. Dude loves being at Auburn. Beat campus in the SEC. Far better than living in the concrete jungle that is that Knoxville or Lexington.

Easiest coaches to bet on, off-season (when the matchups are set).
I'd be okay with the nearly-yearly UK-KU billing if the Champions Classic wasn't a thing.
These past 5-6 seasons, the SEC has been fun. I'd be cool with Kansas splitting with or dominating other schools..

Esp when uk and ku are so far ahead ofbtheir conf mates historically. Its the only thing that does make sense, let them play.

Yeah, I posted on Rafters that after the coming conference changes, the only teams in the Big 12 I have an interest in playing besides Kansas are Cincinnati, West Virginia, perhaps Houston, Baylor or Iowa State randomly. I wouldn't have included Texas or Oklahoma before the changes, don't much care about playing them in basketball but they'd be fine opponents. It's a good basketball conference, I'm not trying to put anyone down. Just from a Kentucky perspective, Kansas and West Virginia are the two opponents that actually matter to us. And I don't think Cincinnati matters per se, but it's obviously a game against a close by opponent, same distance to us as Louisville is.

Why don't Louisville and Cincinnati play every year anymore anyway Dirty Birds? That has always been a great rivalry game.

good question, i feel like we did a couple times, but should be a yearly thing. Same for cincy imo.

I'm surprised that LSU is in it. I'm not sure why TAMU is out.

It basically is the Kentucky/Kansas challenge. You think it would have happened if either Kansas or Kentucky wasn't in their respective conference. UK/KU is the reason for the challenge.

But the UK/KU matchup won't happen if they are paired in the Champion's Classic
