Florida, we will challenge you for the crown.
who is we?
Y'all are more experienced, but I think we can compete.
A&M will be there to complicate things
Ole Miss going for a national seed. Rebels vs Aggies last weekend of regular season will determine lots.
How's LSU looking this year? High expectations?
Mississippi State just completed a 3-game sweep of #9 Oregon.
We scored 24 runs, matching the total amount of runs Oregon had given up all year prior to our series.
Do y'all understand how deep we go with arms? The entire staff from ace through closer is the tits.
I think this is finally the year we win that nattie.
Florida is going atw. Are pitching is way to good
South Carolina just swept #15 Arky, we're tied for #1 in the SEC if I'm not mistaken. Long season to go, but we've started SEC play nice.
MSU took 2 of 3 at then #2 Vandy.
South Carolina has two rough series in a row going @ #7 Ole Miss and @ #11 Vandy. Should be a tough next two weeks.
Hard to say. The pollsters put them Top 10 preseason, but I think that's based on how they finished last year and their brand/name recognition.
Lots of new faces. LSU replaced eight positional starters, with only OF Jake Fraley returning. Pitching will be the key with Lange, Poche and Valek anchoring SEC weekend rotation. LHP Jake Latz who was injured last year (elbow) is set to join the staff in mid-April. He was the third-highest drafted high school player that didn't sign a pro contract (w/ the Toronto Blue Jays).
I'm pretty excited about the series against ole miss starting tonight. Would be huge if we could take 2 out of 3!
Shit, I can't take anymore of that rape scene that's the A&M basketball game, I've switched to the A&M/LSU game.
Big series opening win for the 21-2 Gamecocks @ Ole Miss. This team has some of the same chemistry that our back-to-back championship teams had. The only thing different is that this is the best hitting team we've had since the gorilla ball days in the 90s
6-0 and two sweeps in a row for us. It's a long season but we're looking good now.
How about them Cats ! Took the series from # 1 Florida, for the 4th straight year. That is 3 years in a row we have won a series from a then ranked # 1 team. 2014 So. Carolina, 2015 LSU and now the Gators.
However, the SEC is a meat grinder no easy weekends, and plenty of tough competition left, plus 2 games with #4 Louisville in April.
hope you are right!
MSU just took game 2 from Ole Miss, go for sweep tomorrow. First 2 were complete game victories by pitchers Dakota Hudson & Austin Sexton.
And now 2 of 3 at UF. We have won every SEC series so far this season, 3 of those series were against teams that were in the Top 10, 2 in the Top 5.
South Carolina is back where it belongs...#1 in the SEC...for now.
Yes. After last year it feels great to be on top. Our pitching and hitting is 100% better.
18 SEC games to go!
Interesting predictions from Warren Nolan
Vandy has offensive issues but Julian Infante is finally playing and he provides a much needed stick. Pitching is #1 in the SEC, but this league is really good this year. Good group of SEC teams to prepare you for the tourney.
12 games to go.
South Carolina is one game up on Florida at 14-4 and Florida is 13-5.
I think they'll be even after this weekend. Dropping 2 of 3 to Georgia will probably cost us the SEC this year. We probably also take 2 of 3 from Kentucky, drop 2-3 to A&M and Sweep Alabama to finish 21-9 and UF 22-8. But maybe we pull out a surprise this weekend or in College Station. Still think we're a national seed even at 20-10 and RPI of at least 5 if not 3.
We'll probably take the series in Columbia this weekend and then choke again in Omaha.
The Florida/USCe series is now tied. Rubber game today.
Series was a 1-1 tie. Rubber match game cancelled. USCe #1 in the SEC and has a half game lead over UF.
Florida goes to UT and LSU with a home series against Vandy in Gainesville. USCe goes to UK and to Alabama with a home series against TAM.
Of the six team, TAM is the toughest opponent, but USCe gets in them Columbia. Florida has a slightly tougher road schedule.
I see both going 7-2 to finish the season. SC 2-3 at UK and ATM. Sweep Bama. Florida sweeps UT and takes 2 from Vandy and LSU.
I really reallly hate Kentucky in all aspects. We may win the next two series but it will really suck if we lose the SEC championship because UK has our number in every sport.
How do you think Gators feel regarding baseball? UK is not a great baseball team this year, or most any other year. But they have had the number of the Mighty Gators for some time now.
I have yet to meet a Gator fan that actually cares about college baseball.
You don't get out much then.
Not Friday. We shall see today
Didn't we lead most of the game? I didn't see it but heard we led most of the game then made a stupid play in the field to allow the Gators to win.
I just hope we find a lineup combination that works in the postseason.
