Leaking information could jeopardize the defendants(schools/ agents/ shoe comapnies) from having an unbiased trial.
Why is this isolated to NCAA Basketball? If you don’t think there is some shady shit going on in all Div 1 athletics, you’re fooling yourself.
Bingo.
The public is rationalizing players accepting money under the table, which is absolutely rational. But, the dudes that actually got arrested got Federal heat because they were doing some really scummy shit.
Defense is going to go after a “product of the environment/circumstance” to get leniency, and having the general public condemn the NCAA plays right into that defense.
Leaking more information puts a negative light on the ncaa tournament & nobody wants that.

The FBI could not care less about the NCAA's reputation. You guys think the NCAA are the illuminati or something? This is because leaking info hurts prosecution, and no other reason.
No way. Football is clean. Each and every program places the student athlete and his education as the top priority along with development into a man, so that he can go pro in life. The money generated by D1 football is simply a benefit used to enrich the college experience for other student athletes.
Bwahahahaahaha
Yeah, i meant to add a nod to you that I apparently left out, not call you out. The "you guys" was a generalization of the folks who think the NCAA is all powerful or part of the justice system..... that’s the point I was making.
Apparently it's all true. Why would a federal judge respond, if it wasn't true? You know Yahoo paid big bucks to get that info leaked. Somebody from the FBI gettin' paid.
My take is Yahoo organized this whole thing in order to scoop ESPN.You know Yahoo paid big bucks to get that info leaked. Somebody from the FBI gettin' paid.

then Fran of Iowa has really screwed the pooch with the players has gotten. not EVERY Program is dirty. Those guys were guilty of racketeering which is a hefty federal crime. If they want to go after the product of the environment/circumstance, they'd be better well suited starting with AAU. It's not saying programs are clean because there's not a program in the country who is clean.
