Nerds.Vandy is racking up those court storming fines and I doubt they care one bit. 😂
We were playing the end of bench at one point.Pope also played some strange lineups first half.
He looked in the mirror and said: stop playing Chandler, Noah and Perry at the same time.have to wonder what Pope said at halftime
Yeah… .together with Butler and Oweh on the bench and he did it early, I don't tbink anyone even broke a sweat yet and nobody was in foul trouble. We were playing the end of bench at one point.
Yeah, after a week to prepare, Pope did a really bad job in this one. Only scoring 27 points and being down 14 in the first half, is pretty awful.Couple things...
Pope's inability to have this team ready to go in these games is a huge red flag. The fact that a veteran squad continually lacks effort and looks lethargic and lazy in so many first halves is ridiculous. If UK would have played the first half with the intensity they played in the second half, UK wins by double digits.
Also, Pope lost the game as well with his ridiculous lineup combos in the first half. Amateur hour.
Lastly, UK has to get healthy. Too many injuries, and the schedule in the SEC doesn't get any better, with a trip to UT next. UK doesn't have the luxury of absorbing multiple injuries because they don't get to play weak competition night in and night out.
For good reason, they played a tough schedule and have some massive wins. Any fanbase that had the pre conference success that UK had, would have high expectations.Kentucky fans on their homeboard have way too high of expectations in year 1. Year 1s are never easy just getting to the tourney is a win
He's terrible.Had to mute Jimmy Dykes. I don't know if it's because Ky is struggling but his voice is grating on me tonight.
The last month has soured me on pope. If someone wants to take some bets that he will fail, let me know.Couple things...

The last 2 minutes has soured me on you.The last month has soured me on pope. If someone wants to take some bets that he will fail, let me know.
The red flags were there against Duke, Clemson, Gonzaga, Ohio State, etc.
I think we give him 4 years but he'll never make a FF.
At least we aren't IU.
Jeffy, you ready for Tuesday?Got no shot if Carr can't play and Butler is still hampered, but, who knows, maybe Brea will come alive for 1 game.
Brea was huge against Florida if I recalled.Got no shot if Carr can't play and Butler is still hampered, but, who knows, maybe Brea will come alive for 1 game.
Yeah and since then, he’s like 2 for 1000.Brea was huge against Florida if I recalled.
Yep. Carr will be out. Butler shouldn't be playing, but he basically has to as his backup (Kriisa) is out for the year (at least that is what it looks like will happen). But Butler unfortunately is nowhere near the level he was playing at earlier this year. Sucks to see. He really needs a good 2-3 weeks of rest.Got no shot if Carr can't play and Butler is still hampered, but, who knows, maybe Brea will come alive for 1 game.
We all have problems, Nick. Our Carr drove himself to Baylor midseason.Yep. Carr will be out. The problem is having injuries at the PG position. If there is one spot you want to have the best health, generally speaking, it is at PG. The Cats don't have that, unfortunately.
As I stated earlier in another post, all the injuries coupled with playing a ridiculous SEC schedule is a recipe for disaster.
If UT can't beat this depleted UK version at home, that is a problem for UT.
Got players injured and playing hurt, plus, I'm not mentally prepared for a 3 game losing streak right now, maybe I will be after another week. Why?
Yeah, but your 7th year pg isn’t playing hurt and your 4 man isn't out hurt.We all have problems, Nick. Our Carr drove himself to Baylor midseason.
You never know Jeff, Y'all do better against us when people don't think you will. What would be really funny is if Cal beat y'all the following week. Y'all would lose your minds. No fanbase openly mourns like UK.Got players injured and playing hurt, plus, I'm not mentally prepared for a 3 game losing streak right now, maybe I will be after another week.
You know what Della, that really wouldn't be funny at all.You never know Jeff, Y'all do better against us when people don't think you will. What would be really funny is if Cal beat y'all the following week. Y'all would lose your minds. No fanbase openly mourns like UK.
"Respect for Barnes" 😄 I would like to see your first evidence of respect for Barnes.Yeah, but your 7th year pg isn’t playing hurt and your 4 man isn't out hurt.
We’re also playing an undeveloped and undersized freshman at the backup pg spot because Kerr Kriisa is out.
Y'all need to win this one by 30, if you don't, I've lost all respect for Barnes. 👀
You're right, Jeff. It would be hilarious.😆You know what Della, that really wouldn't be funny at all.
What, you think I don't respect Rick Barnes? Oh, come on, I have tons of respect for that guy. I just have to find it though, it's around here somewhere. I saw it laying in the counter just last week."Respect for Barnes" 😄 I would like to see your first evidence of respect for Barnes.
