The world lost an incredible human being today. I’ve been fortunate to be pretty close to the FSU program for the last decade or so, and Michael Ojo is the epitome of the selfless and growth minded culture that Hamilton has cultivated.
From a basketball perspective, watching him develop from a completely raw giant who couldn’t even catch, turn, and dunk, into an actual basketball player who set vicious screens, blocked shots, made 75%+ of his free throws, and started nearly every game for a top 10 team was simply awe-inspiring as to what hard work can do.
From a human perspective, I don’t possess the words to describe how incredible he was in the locker room, in the classroom, and in the community. I truly feel he could have been some type of human ambassador.
Watch this video to get a taste of who he was and how he approached life, and hope you can find someone like this to be a light in your life.
