Looking forward to what you guys have after tonight's games.
Saint Peter's that 16 obviously.

Sorry didn't mean to actually do it, was just wondering what it would look like.Awful idea. The favorite would be handed a final four many seasons, no?
My badSorry didn't mean to actually do it, was just wondering what it would look like.
I've over being sore, might as well embrace Saint Peter.Looking forward to what you guys have after tonight's games.
Saint Peter's that 16 obviously.
I hope they do.Might as well just put duke 1. They aren’t going to lose at this point
Using KenPom:
4. Kansas
13. Providence
14. Iowa State
15. Miami FL
What were all these easy regions everyone talks about? I don't remember it happening, other than 2011.Surely Kansas can't blow another easy region, right? Surely not.

Wasn't it you who posted that KU has lost to the eventual champ more than any other program?
I Feel for teams that have to play duke from here on outI hope they do.
That rhetoric is so lazy. Purdue's been pretty good defensively for more than a month. AdjD has gone from 106 to 86 the last few weeks, which is hard to do this late in the season. We are giving up just 66.8 ppg over that stretch. Not great but certainly not horrible. The greatest concern about Purdue, which will make its fourth trip to the Sweet 16 since 2017, was justified at points on Sunday. A team with an adjusted defensive efficiency in the 90s is rarely a candidate for a Final Four run. As Texas bounced back from a 14-point deficit, it seemed as if that defensive weakness would cost Matt Painter
I am cheering for Purdue for the sole reason of being annoyed by the metric jerkoffsThat rhetoric is so lazy. Purdue's been pretty good defensively for more than a month. According to Torvik, Purdue's still at 85 in defensive efficiency over the last two weeks. They've definitely looked better lately though. Holding Texas scoreless for 9 min was impressive, although Texas does struggle to score at times. That rhetoric is so lazy. Purdue's been pretty good defensively for more than a month. Purdue's AdjD rank during that period is 55th. Meanwhile, Arizona is 109th and Duke is 157th and I don't hear much dogging of their defenses by the talking heads.
Yeah, I was looking at the 5 weeks since we got embarrassed at Michigan. That's when Purdue flipped the switch defensively and started focusing more. We have physical challenges to being an elite defensive team but are playing much closer to our ceiling since then.According to Torvik, Purdue's still at 85 in defensive efficiency over the last two weeks. Torvik's an interesting site to play around with. UNC is the top-rated team so far in March.
You have plenty of time to prep for dude with the moustacheYeah, I was looking at the 5 weeks since we got embarrassed at Michigan. I mean a 15 seed making an elite 8 has never happen. Kansas losing to a 4 seed providence is not that out of the ordinary. Kansas has lost to worst teams in the tourney beforeWhat would be a bigger upset- Kansas not making the final four or Purdue losing to St. Peter's?
Valid, but just remembered everybody mentioning Providence as the luckiest team this season- can Kenpom back that up??I mean a 15 seed making an elite 8 has never happen. Kansas losing to a 4 seed providence is not that out of the ordinary. Kansas has lost to worst teams in the tourney before

To be fair:You think that losing to a team that won one of the top conferences and has a better record than KU, or beating them and then losing to another solid team two days later, is comparable to losing to a 15 seed that no one had ever heard of? 🤣
To be fair:
- Kansas did win the Big 12, which everybody has stated was the toughest conference this season, and def better than the Big east.
- Can't go with better records all the time- remember, schedules are different.
- Providence won the big east regular season title, but missed three key games due to Covid vs Uconn, Hall and Creighton- do they still win the Big East if those games get played? Remember, Nova swept Providence.
- So if Kansas loses to a "solid" Miami team, we can't make fun of them? Guess Auburn can't be made fun of either than for losing to them
- Would have the Big east closer to ACC and Pac-12 regular season compared to Big 12, SEC and Big Ten.
Honestly, yeah, Purdue losing Friday would be the bigger shocker, but still will be crazy if Kansas does not make the final four this season.
Think Davis missed the game vs Providence - but in all seriousness , Self rocks - like I said earlier - guy could become the best active head coach in the land once K retires . Martin healthy , preseason big 12 POY is such a game- changer ! Honestly , I can see Duke vs KU in the finals. Not saying that the Big East is a top three league, but it's still one of the big dogs. And it's not like Providence just feasted on the conference. They won @ Wisconsin and beat Texas Tech.
I'm hopeful for a win, but that has more to do with my respect for what Self does with several days to prepare than a talent advantage.
Just not sure why people are pretending like this would be a gigantic failure. Providence is the highest seed that KU could have played and I think they're probably underseeded as a 4. This KU team doesn't have a massive talent advantage over Providence.
Yeah...looks like Davis did miss that game. I also don't think Tech was quite as good early in the year. Providence did take Nova down to the last play @ Villanova recently though. Any team with a big who can catch fire from three is worrisome to me.Think Davis missed the game vs Providence - but in all seriousness , Self rocks - like I said earlier - guy could become the best active head coach in the land once K retires . Really? Purdue has a strong running in that category I would think. We've lost to the eventual champ so many times. Or was it final four teams? I don't remember. It's something like that. What were all these easy regions everyone talks about? I don't remember it happening, other than 2011.
Wasn't it you who posted that KU has lost to the eventual champ more than any other program?
Why? Freaking MSU almost beat them.I Feel for teams that have to play duke from here on out
I'm confused. You have teams in regions that they weren't originally in?Just by going how they were ranked before the tourney
West
1. Gonzaga
2. UCLA
3. Providence
4. Saint Peter's
South
1. Arizona
2. Purdue
3. Arkansas
4. Iowa State
Midwest
1. Kansas
2. Texas Tech
3. Houston
4. Michigan
East
1. Villanova
2. Duke
3. North Carolina
4. Miami
Well lets see. This Purdue team has seemed to be destined to break those glass ceilings this year.I mean a 15 seed making an elite 8 has never happen. Kansas losing to a 4 seed providence is not that out of the ordinary. Kansas has lost to worst teams in the tourney before

Ah, ok. Must have been final four teams. Under Painter, it seems at least, we lost to an eventual FF team a bunch. Obviously not North Texas or Arkansas Little Rock. Those are outliers. But VCU, Connecticut, Virginia, Duke, Florida, Kansas. If Kansas didn't choke one year it would have been twice to Kansas (TIC).It's cool. I created a spreadsheet which details every tournament win for the 82 National Champions.
Years Purdue has lost to the National Champion
2019- Virginia, Elite 8
2010- Duke, Sweet 16
2007- Florida, Round of 32
1969- UCLA, NCAA Title Game
Close? 🤣It's close. The Midwest went from favorable to a cakewalk for Kansas.
