Ranking the Big Ten...

The top of the Big Ten looks weak as hell. None of those teams are contenders this year.

Sparty getting bitch slapped by a bad Purdue team. Michigan and Ohio State falling apart. Maryland is Maryland.
the BT is actually pretty strong from top to bottom on THEIR Home court, just because nobody is running away with the conference does not mean the conference is weak.

I said the top looks weak... compared to other leagues. The middle and bottom are solid.

Those top teams lost some ugly games out of conference too. They're not just beating up on each other.

I dont think any of those teams would finish in the top 3 of the Big 12 this year.

ahh yes the great and all powerful B12 nobody can compare to them or compete.

The Big Ten dog walked the country in non conference play

They lost more than their fair share.

Ohio state lost to wvu in their back yard
Maryland lost to seton hall
Michigan state lost to virginia tech
Michigan lost to oregon and got blown out of the gym by lousiville
indiana lost at home to arkansas

I could keep going.

Every conference lost more than their fair share if that’s the route you’re going.

Kansas lost to Duke and Villanova.
Baylor lost to Washington.
West Virginia lost to St Johns
Texas Tech lost to Creighton, DePaul, and Iowa.
TCU lost to Clemson, USC, and Xavier

I’ll bet you the Big Ten wins more NCAA tournament games than the Big 12 if you wanna do that.

Buddy a loss to St. John’s is worse than any of these losses.
Let’s not throw stones from glass houses.

The big ten wont have a team get past the sweet 16

Michigan might not make the tourney at this rate. Lol What have you lost now? 5 out of your last 8?

Not a great loss for sure. But they're 12-5 and have multiple big wins. They could easily be a tourney team.

That 12-5 record might have just a bit to do with their 334th ranked ooc schedule according to kenpom. They’re going to either finish in the cellar or 9th in the big East depending how much DePaul flames out. It is insane to classify them as “could easily be a tourney team”.

They have wins over WVU and Arizona... lost by 2 to a top 5 Butler team. Some ugly losses too though.

If Michigan makes the tournament and St. Johns misses, you can’t post here for a year. If St. Johns makes the tournament at all, I won’t post here for a year.

Accept? The only way you lose if you’re wrong about two things you trolled about both

Nah, don't care about michigan enough to make that bet. They're irrelevant to me... i just think they suck this year.

He doesn’t actually believe the dumb stuff he’s saying.

oh by the way some are predicting 10 BT teams in the NCAAT, this is why they are cannabilizing each other @ home.

Not sure what you dont understand about me saying the TOP is weak. Several decent teams in the big 10.

But none of those top teams in the league are gonna be a factor this season.

None of those teams are as bad as the Minnesota team that just handed you an L today... or Illinois.

And sounds like an easy win for you betting against Michigan making the tournament. You don’t really believe the shit you’re saying though. For some reason you’ve decided to go full troll this year rather than bringing some semblance of legit basketball discussion.

this is going to be a interesting watch going forward. there was a stat posted that there have only been 5 wins by teams on the road to date.

to be more specific St Johns is #79 by kenpom vs Minnesota who is #34 and Illinois who is #28. even Iowa is #19.

Since youre clearly a fan of kenpom....Only one conference has 3 teams in the top 10. Guess which one.

Hint... you said it's overrated.

not a real fan of kenporn. but the BT does have 5 in the top 20, with 3 in the 21-29 range while the B12 has 0 in the 11-20 and 1 in the 21-30 range.

wow the B12 has 4 in the top 30 vs the BT has 8, hmmm maybe the BT is the better conference that is beating each other up.
another note the BT has 4 more teams in the 31-40 range, oh my where are these superior B12 team as there are none in the 31-40 range. that makes 12 BT teams in the Top 40 Of Kenpom. and just 4 in the top 30.

yes the B12 is way over rated.

How many teams will the acc get? I have to squint really fvcking hard to see 6.
Probably 3 (Duke, FSU, UL), it's not very good this year. But I'm not delusional enough to think the ACC will get 10 teams in.

I agree that 10 is a lot, but my thing is with the acc getting only 3-5 in (it’ll likely be 4), there are extra bids that need to come from somewhere. It wouldn’t shock me if 9 teams get in from the big ten and most of those will have records between 9-11 and 12-8 in conference.

I just posted this in another thread but the tournament field should be cut to about 16 this year. Soooo many average/barely mediocre teams, very few good ones.

Have to ask- as of right now, Duke is considered one of the top three teams in college bball ( Zags & Baylor) did you expect that from Duke coming into the season?

Fuuuuuuuck no. Thought they might be top 4 in the ACC.
