Pre-vaccine, How do we savage a tournament? Maybe, some assistant who bends the ear of someone important reads this thread.

Hiccups along the way are inevitable regardless of when you start now. Starting now allows for more time to shuffle the schedule and create games on an as needed basis. Nobody is going to play all their games so having more time from the start of the season between the end of the season is a better idea. It allows room for error.

if you start the season in March and start a tourney in may you have 2 months to play less games than now with guaranteed inevitable hiccups and no room to add games.

Rick acts like if you start in March there won’t be any hiccups.

Bad idea. That's essentially what the Big Ten did in football and they allowed no schedule flexibility because they had no bye weeks. If Minnesota cancels their game against Wisky this week (likely because they have cases), it will be Wisky's 3rd cancellation and eliminate them from B1G championship eligibility.

Interviewing Pitino for any national story is dumb. But to have Rick “I’ll pay you to abort our child” Pitino warn us about health risks is just nuts to me. And it’s not like he’s a national presence anymore.
