Purdue has never been ranked #1. Won't happen this year either if UCLA doesn't beat the Zags. Need UCLA to get the job done.
True. My post was more to do with the fact that Gonzaga can't go into conference season ranked #1 or it won't happen. Also need to keep winning. Never love playing FSU.
WCC isn't that bad-----They are ranked 7th out of 32 conference's...Last year, they had 5 teams in the Top 100. THis year, thoug early, they have 4 teams currently in the Top 50. BYU/St. Mary's are always/normally , solid teams. Zags will have 4 games there, vs at worse IMO, Top 50 teams. Santa Clara is decent----have wins over Stanford and Nevada. San Fran is decent....So is Pepperdine.True. My post was more to do with the fact that Gonzaga can't go into conference season ranked #1 or it won't happen.
Yes, you're right. I was just saying that they are good enough to win most power leagues and their league overall isn't that strong. A few teams are good, but they don't have to get challenged night in and out like most.WCC isn't that bad-----They are ranked 7th out of 32 conference's...Last year, they had 5 teams in the Top 100. Its not the Big 10/ACC/SEC, no....But their will be 2, 3 maybe even 4 games, where GU will get challenged.
Don't be surprised to see three teams from that conference, go to the NCAAT this year.
Very true. And trust me, as an IU fan, I get nervous everytme those dudes enter conference play, unbeaten...Us IU guys don't have much to hold onto these days----so being the last to go unbeaten is kind of, well, "special"...Yes, you're right.
