First off what a game. However this isn't about the game as much as thinking of my late friend. He grew up in NE Indiana with me as a Purdue fan. His cousin recently played for the Purdue women's team. His family moved to Michigan when we were 12 to 13. He graduated from Western and was furthering his education to become a Dr at MSU and started following Sparty as well. However it was discovered that he had stage 4 colon cancer at 26. He passed away just under 4 months from his diagnosis. He was a pretty good basketball player growing up. As the game was just passed halftime I reminisced about the game winning play we had. He inbounded it to me cutting to the hoop for a layup (I hardly ever shot and wasn't a scorer so I was wide open) for the winner. Then Bridges hit that shot just like my friend Marcus used to as well. Man I know he was watching this one and it was a great honor to his memory. Sorry I know this isn't a usual game post, but I had to with the coincidences.
