Purdue is now #1 in Torvik's projections

Rematch, perhaps?

That would be fairleigh ridiculous.

Edey's return vaulted them from #24 to the top.

Legit?
Torvik values returning experience and actual college production a lot so that makes sense given he was the NPOY but their roster around Edey is still not that talented. I doubt they flame out in the 1st weekend like last year but to me they're a 2nd weekend team who would need the bracket to break right to make the Final 4.

They still have some of the same issues from last year.

Our biggest issue was that we started and relied heavily on a true freshman backcourt. Their legs were dead tired by the tournament. I'd like to hope that a year of college experience makes that a largely non-issue. We've also addressed the athleticism challenge with Colvin, Heide and Jones but they are unproven at this point.

I could see this team losing in the 2nd round for sure. But i could also easily see them in the Final Four. Such is the nature of the Big Dance.
