Hinrich/Collison on Kansas was what got me into college basketball. Hinrich is still my favorite non-Michigan player ever.

This game will never leave my memory.

It won't leave mine because I won money in my class bracket pool for picking Syracuse to win the title (nobody else did).

Indiana and Iowa split in '87...

Iowa won at home, 101-88.....IU won at home, 84-75.

IU finished 30-4 that year. Three of those losses came in the Big 10: @ #1 Iowa, @ #6 Purdue and @ #14 Illinois. Only other loss was @ ****ing Vanderbilt.

Yeah, I know. Fun game. Great times, too. Big 10 was nasty that year---IU, Iowa, Purdue and Illinois were all Top 10. PU and Illinois shit the bed that tourney. Illinois lost in the 1st Rd as a 3 seed....Purdue lost in 2nd round as a 3 seed. Ohio State and Michigan both advanced to 2nd round....OSU should've beaten GTown. MIchigan gave 1 seed UNC a tussel.

Some damn iconic wars in those days..

Kentucky was down 16 at the 5 minute mark; 61-45. WVU never trailed in the 2nd half, ad maintained a comfortable 8-10 pt lead throughout the 2nd half. UK got within 4 late, 70-66 on a Dodson three with 29 seconds left.

Blown out? Meh....Probably not. But WVU controlled that game. No doubt there.

The first half WV never made a 2, all 3's. Unbelievable shooting.

1983 Louisville vs Kentucky Dream Game won by Louisville 80-68 in OT. First time the 2 teams had met in 24 years with a trip to the Final Four on the line. This game set in motion the renewed series between the two and the heated rivalry we know today.
