Since it's summer break, I have a LOT of free time on my hands.

What should I watch on Netflix?

My wife made me watch 13 reasons why. Seems like your kind of thing.

Just finished evil geniuses. was pretty interesting. you can knock it out in a day if committed. I am watching 13 reasons why because my kid told me to. Plus there are 2 seasons now so I have more mindless time filler.

Let me offer you a few that maybe you aren't as familiar with.

Peaky Blinders
Luther
The Last Kingdom
Into The Badlands

I'll also recommend Both daredevil and the punisher if you're into the super hero thing.

This is without a doubt the coolest character on the face of the earth. 6 seasons. LOVED it. You will too. Come to think of it, I might start watching it again.

I need to give this another try. The old man swears by it. I watched the first episode and doesn’t he shoot someone at a casual lunch? That threw me and I put it aside at the time. It didn’t seem very realistic for a show that is supposed to be, or so I thought.

Give it another go. The 1st season is meh but it gets pretty good after that.

On Hulu, started watching show called Superstore. There are some one liners in that show that are funny as hell.

Santa Clarita Diet - Great one liners and a great dark comedy
Frankenstein Chronicles,
Altered Carbon,
Dexter, Shameless, Penny Dreadful are 3 to revisit

It takes an episode or two to warm up, but it gets REALLY good. You keep asking yourself "One more episode?" or go to bed? The series finale is riveting!

It's one of those where you're depressed for a bit because it's over.

Yeah this. I wrote the show off because of the first season but went back and watched the rest, definitely worth it. It was like they tried to put every stereotype about Kentucky in the first season, plus he shot someone on a weekly basis.

@jhmossy If you have Hulu and haven't watched The Shield, I would recommend watching that. Best cop show ever besides The Wire.

If The Killing is on Netflix, watch that. If it's not, then stop being a poor and get HBO Go. And then watch The Killing.

Homeland is good. So is The Americans. Oh and Broadchurch.

All these suggestions are assuming you've already watched stuff like The Wire, Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, etc.

I dropped out on Hell on Wheels, which was stunning, because it’s literally one of my favorite eras.

Glad to see everyone recognizes The Wire.

STUNNED that there isn’t more recognition of Band of Brothers. Not considered because of the limited run?
