if ya aint got it in your state you missin out... GOOD NIGHT!
Exactly what I sipped last night to celebrate National Bourbon day.
Had it several times (people from Texas will buy anything that says Texas on it). Middle of the road bourbon, 6/10. Rebecca Creek makes it taste like Kentucky Deluxe.
I recommend you only drink Oklahoma Whiskey from now on.
Dang really? I do like Rebecca creek too, but I think TX is real good... A little too pricey but its good.
Shut your whore mouth you dirty foreigner.
Not to jump on the Whorns anti-Texas bandwagon but, as a Vodka drinker, that Tito´s shit is just that, shit. Can´t understand how they charge so much for that turpentine.
Titos is a good vodka to me.. but I take Skyy all day any day if we talking the clear stuff.
Eh, Titos definitely has the hype train bumping it up too much, but it's an decent vodka (I'm not really a vodka drinker, though).
I don't think they distribute much, but Oyo vodka is really good, IMO, but pricey.
Worst hangover I ever had in my life was after drinking that Tito´s shit at a house party with a bunch of Texas/SMU yuppies who think they´re cool paying premium for that crap. F#$&ers.
Tito's is alright in my book but I'm not much of a vodka drinker. It's also more expensive than it used to be IIRC. I prefer potato vodka if I'm going that route.
I'm not defending Titos (not a vodka drinker), but Titos is reasonably priced in my opinion.
Apparently, you don´t buy it in San Antonio (where I last lived in Texas). WTH, I wish it was good as I´d love to support them but,
Have you tried the Costco brand of Canadian Blened Wisky sold under their house name of “Kirkland”? It is very smooth and has complex flavors, $15 for a giant bottle.....
Supposedly, the Aldi scotch is supposed to be fairly good...I don't think any of them around me can sell liquor, though.
Wish I could recall the name of it....one of my buddies here is from somewhere between Austin and San Antonio or some shit and one of his buds came up and brought some Texas whiskey with him that was quite good. I was surprised.
Have not tired the Costco Scotch, but the Costco brand Kirkland Canadian Wisky is equivalent in smoothness and flavor to an $80 name brand bottle and the Kirkland $15 bottle is huge....
We actually have a few good ones from Texas now. But they are all "small batch" or stingy, so they are pricey a lot of the time.
Coming from (Kentucky) YOU, that´s impressive. Think of the name and get back to us. I´m curious. It wasn´t made by Tito´s, was it?
Probably Garrison Bros out of Hye, Tx
The Costco Kirkland 27 year old blend is very enjoyable.
is that code for Shasta Grape?
Do they make whiskey in New Braunfels?
Damn, I miss Wurstfest.
I'm not familiar with a distillery in New Braunfels. Garrison Bros is out west in the hill country near Fredericksburg.
Last weekend we went to a German Beirgarten (sp?)...I almost died. My cousin ordered das boot, the real 2.5L glass boot of 8% beer. We ate every sausage they had and several giant pretzels and it still couldn't soak up all the booze.
No. I've heard of Titos. Whatever this was had to have been small batch as mentioned above. Who knows what it was.
I had some whiskey in Wyoming that was local....and it was absolutely terrible. Tasted worse than well liquor. But they were sure proud of it
Louisiana will raise you Taaka for the nastiest vodka. Haven’t touched it since I was young and I’m about to upchuck just thinking about.
Just add people.
Which one of you ended up with the face full of beer from the boot? Used to love doing that over in Germany in the army.
Ha, he knew to turn it over when nearing the end. He was pretty drunk though. We did the math, he basically drank 10 “miller lite” equivalents in just under an hour.
