Let me know, the main complaint was the story not the gameplay.

Yup, like I said, snowflakes. I am roughly half way in and its amazing. I have not played a game that keeps you this on edge and tense. I know one part that folks dont like, and my opinion would be get over yourself. I will let you know what I think of the rest but at this point I doubt I am going to be disappointed.

I did that as well. Books were good the first few and then they went to crap....just like the TV show.

Why would anyone bother to read the book now that the ending has already been seen?

So oddly timed post, but I played some RDR2 last night and actually had a blast. Ran around and just killed a bunch of people. Thinking about deleting all of my saved game data and starting over. I feel like I missed so much in that game.

I played it for 2 weeks and haven’t gotten back. Beautiful game but just felt daunting to get into. Then I downloaded Madden and remembered in about 10 minutes that I hate Madden. So I’ve been sticking to getting smoked in CoD or chilling with some Everybody’s (Hot Shots) Golf.

Might be time to pick it back up.

That's funny, I started RDR again last week. It does have great replay value.

I loved every second of the story. But I wanted to get through it so bad I missed out on a lot of the small little details. Like crafting, cooking, hunting, fishing, all the side missions. I would love to just knock all of that out on a replay. Not to mention, it looks like they've added a ton of stuff online.

I went the opposite route. Took my time during the first playthrough and did every side mission, found every collectible etc. Waited till I completed everything to do the last mission. Great game, but no desire to go back and play it again since I did everything the first time.

Might give Last of Us 2 a try based on all the reviews it's getting.

OK all finished. I have never played a game like this dude, ever. The only thing I can compare it to is Hitchcock type stuff. They create so much tension, anxiety and intense emotion with simple lighting, music, camera angles. And THEN they hit you with freaky infected things ( new stuff in this game that will freak you the F out ). The story is epic, and the reaction to it has been honestly just stupid. Things happen in stories, they dont always go how you want, happy endings suck to be honest. A buddy of mine called this story a lesson in bad choices, pretty accurate. Give it a try, I think you will be blown away.

Question about NB2k for @TheDude1 @hailtoyourvictor and anyone else who plays the game. I'm thinking about getting it. Never played it before.

I'm only interested in a specific mode though. Is there a single player offline season/dynasty mode where you can control a team and play that team over multiple seasons while making trades and signing players? I don't want any mode where I create a fictional player. Just want to use the real players.

Also, besides dynasty is there a mode where you can just play a single season with a NBA team? once again not with any created players.

    Yes and yes.

There are modes to do seasons and dynasties online with friends, too. I don’t do that at all. I’m in love with the fictional player 3v3 and stuff.

Do you have PS4 or Xbox? I bet you’d have more fun doing the latter once you tried it. I think I saw a poll that 65% of players consider that the best mode.

Wait, can I just ask though... @WeAreDePaul when you say "offline" you just mean not playing against others, right? Because you may need an internet connection/to have your console hooked up to the internet just to play?

Maybe not tho, Hail might know better than I do, I think he plays more "modes" of the game, if that makes sense.

yep, single player only. No interest at all in playing with people. Just looking for single player dynasty mode or season mode.

I'm connected, but only interested in single player modes. Don't like playing video games vs real people or with real people.

Thanks for bringing that up. I should've asked about the computer AI in my original post, but didn't think about it? For the past 15 years I've only played one sports game, a soccer game called Pro Evolution Soccer. Not nearly as popular as FIFA, but a MUCH better game in terms of actual gameplay. The computer AI in that game is amazing. You can play that game for a year straight, get good enough to win at the top level, and still struggle to win just about every game you play because the AI is so good. It's the reason I can play it as a single player game for the past 15 years and never get bored with it.

This year, I'm not happy with the latest Pro Evo soccer so I'm thinking of making a change, hence my post. Is the AI in this game good when you take on the computer or does it become too easy to beat and too predictable? That would definitely be a dealbreaker for me in terms of buying the game since I have no interest in multiplayer.

The A.I. isnt predictable and HOF difficulty is probably hard if you don’t cheese.

I just can’t okay A.I. because I like playing with friends and can’t get excited about cool things happening if I’m playing with robots.

Did you play the first? Second is a banger, highly recommend.

Also, currently, Ubi is having a blow out sale on past FarCry titles due to the new one being announced. I picked up 3, 4 & 5 and after I took a discount with some credits I had, it was $16.00 for all 3. Also later today they are doing their own version of an E3 stream since its canceled, and if you watch past a specific point you get Watch Dogs 2 for free. Lately Epic has been giving away a ton of games as well, got GTA5 & Ark Survival for free. This is all PC by the way, but pretty sure the deals on the FarCry games are universal, the free Watch dogs however is PC only.

so I think i'm gonna pull the trigger on NBA2k20 today. It's only $20 new (free if you are a PS Plus member which I'm not). Got some questions. Been looking at the controls for the game and damn there are a lot. is it tough to get the hang of? Seems like there are a million buttons you can press for every aspect of the game (shooting, dribbling, passing, defending, etc).

Also, is it tough to get the sliders right when setting up a league? I saw some videos on youtube that made it seem like you need to get the sliders perfect or else parts of the game can get out of whack such as contract negotiations and stuff like that.

I read there are classic teams in the game. Can you insert them in Myleague? Can you do a MyLeague with all classic teams? That would be pretty amazing.

Pulled the trigger and got NBA2k20. Gotta be honest, after a couple days I have no idea what I'm doing. Can't figure out how to play at all. Defense got no clue. Offense, can't do anything other than 1v1 stuff with forced shots.

Tried doing pick and rolls, but can't figure out how to do that properly.

I know it's early, but I'm already pretty close to quitting the game out of frustration.

You really should consider playing with other people a little... it is actually a bit easier.

I would definitely get used to calling for the pick and roll... it can be tricky, but you will get it.

There is, in the game, something called 2kU... I can't remember how to find it, which menus it is in... it can guide you through how to do some of the basics.

Don't give up on it too soon! It takes a little while... I'd say get used to A) how to move the ball from one hand to the other, and practice using backdown even to help trigger some moves.

And DEFINITELY play a little alone... like, with nobody else on the court... just to get used to moving with the ball, and how to move the ball from one hand to the other.
