Os are out and looking to crush dreams.Anyone in the mood to break down the playoff situation? Who is in who is out?

Crazy.....ALl the Reds needed to do was go .500, or better. Oh, well. Cards great run gets them the reward of playing 106 win LA Dodgers.Cards 17 in a row!

That was awesome. Dude is a player, hit a homer too.
Rays got fvcked because the rule is dumb.Anybody see that play in the 13th of the Tampa/Boston game. Rays got screwed IMO. I think it should've been 2 runs instead of a double. Crazy play, never seen that happen before.
That’s really just a product of the series you’re watching. The Brewers are in a brutal team slump but have the best starting rotation in the playoffs.NL games are just so different from the AL. Inability to push runs across is just agonizing if you're rooting for any NL team.
AL, just just hit bombs and move it on !
I genuinely don’t understand how these dickhead umps get to call playoff games. The league has access to these ump stats as well. Maybe don’t allow umps that make the league look bad to have a platform on the biggest stage. It’s not rocket science
Manfred is the worst commissioner of the big 4 sports and it isn’t close. The fact that he took a side, instead of remaining neutral, in the Nats-Os MASN dispute is fvcking egregious.I genuinely don’t understand how these dickhead umps get to call playoff games. Seen it happen a few times. Rule is clear. Its a ground-rule double. Umpires only went to the monitor to make sure it wasn't intentional. If so, that changes things a lot.Anybody see that play in the 13th of the Tampa/Boston game. Rays got screwed IMO. I think it should've been 2 runs instead of a double. Just curious----why do you think the rule is dumb? Ball bounces over, its a ground-rule double. Runner/hitter get two bases from the time of the pitch.Rays got fvcked because the rule is dumb.
Didn't think he stuck his arm out at all...Just part of his running motion.Yeah between that and Grandal sticking his arm out to hit the throw home, there have been some weird plays / shady calls tonight. Both have been very fun games though
It hits the wall and comes back into the field of play, the runner would have clearly scored, except the ball hits the fielder and bounces out. Any sensible person awards the batter 2nd and the runner from first home. Any person with common sense recognizes that runner on first was scoring.Just curious----why do you think the rule is dumb? What would you change?
I don't 100% disagree.....BUT----crazy things happen. Runner could have slipped, tripped over the base, fell down---Or had the CF cleanly retrieved the ball---who knows---Maybe he throws him out. After all, Renfroe is considered to have the best arm in baseball(outfield). With that being said, I've seen the play---runner probably scores. But as an umpire, you cannot assume he will. Could the rule be tweaked? Yes. If the ball hits a fielder, and goes out of play, then you change the rule to being two bases from where the runner was. BUt now you have an issue...What IF the runner is a step, or two past second? Can you legit say he scores on the play? Or say he has just touched second...You cannot just say, "well common says....." Because not all plays are the same.It hits the wall and comes back into the field of play, the runner would have clearly scored, except the ball hits the fielder and bounces out.
