Was chatting with Jimbo, and he said that everyone around him in Kentucky was battling the flu and a stomach bug.

It is EVERYWHERE up here in NJ. Our school is literally getting bombed every night by the custodial crew to try to kill it all.

Anyone else have their area absolutely overwhelmed by sickness?

It’s bad here in the triad area (Greensboro, Winston Salem and High Point). A co worker’s hip replacement surgery had to be moved back 5 days. No beds available.

Yes I’m sick, but I think it’s a cold though. Starting to feel better but it was a tough Go a few days ago

There are 14 of us at work and my wife, a salesman, and myself are the only ones who haven’t caught something. Most people are thinking they have the flu when they have a virus. The flu will keep you down for 4 - 5 days.

Yes. They are. We’ve been rerouting people to other area hospitals, because we’re at capacity. I wear a mask into every room. It’s the worst I’ve ever seen it, and my coworker said last night it’s the worst he’s seen it in 32 years of working in the field.

My son and I seem to have colds.... nothing close to the flu though.

and my son's class is going to war every day disinfecting everything. they are doing their best to not take chances with how bad this years flu can be

Doesn't seem to bad here(So.Indiana). I had a bad upper respiratory infection that won't seem to go away. Nagging really. Haven't heard much locally though about any flu breakout. Not like I have in other area's.

This. If you have, or get the flu, you will know it. A ton of folks confuse the symptoms of a cold, with that of the flu. The flu is absolutely awful.

So eaten up. Go out, man. All sorts of stuff to do in Nashville.

There are a lot of kids sick around here. None of my family thankfully.
I've been there once. Random comment. You obsessed with Nashville?

Was sick as hell all week. Celebrating my miraculous cure with with a vodka date night.

Yeah, we've had something like twelve confirmed cases of flu in my elementary school. It's everywhere. Kids missing like a week of school.

I've been getting the flu shot for 20 plus years. Can't remember the last time I caught it.

Bad stomach virus knocked me out for three days this week. I'm not a vomiter, even in my drinking days but this one got me. Got sick Sunday night and really today was the first I felt better

I always get the flu shot. I've had the flu once a few years ago. Wasn't that bad tbh. I got on Tamiflu pretty quick and it helped a lot.

Yeah I've been sick, finally got over it and now my kid has a fever. This shit blows.

I live in So Florida, and it's going around here. I almost never get sick, but I got it this time. Not much you can do when everyone you live with has it, and almost everyone you work with is sick.

Kansas has been declared the sickest state in the country. Everyone has something! Ugh

North Florida was hit hard from late December through about a week ago. I didn’t know anyone who didn’t battle some sort of flu/cough/respiratory infection. My wife is a nurse at the local hospital and she said it’s been the worst she’s seen it since she’s been there (only about 6 Years).

Apparently they whiffed massively on the strain of flu vaccine this year.

My area in CT seems fine. I keep seeing these stories about how bad this flu season is, but I don’t know a single person who has it.

Must be a southern thing. Haven’t heard of anyone with the flu around here. Everybody at office has been ok. Minor miracle maybe.

"Hey boss, I'm sick as hell. I can't make it in today."

"You're sick? B.S. Get in to work."

"I'm nailing my sister right now....that sick enough for ya?"

"Oh you keep your arse at home you sick s.o.b."

I know people who have gotten it here in Midland but I’ve been lucky. I actually haven’t had the flu in 25 years and I’ve never had a flu shot. Going to a big Mardi Gras thing tonight though. Will be hundreds of people there. I’m sure that there will be some in attendance who’ve been exposed to the flu and contaminate the rest of us. Fingers crossed.

It's been ravaging my kids school. They've almost closed it because so many are sick. Went up there the other night and the place reeked of Lysol.
