No surprise to experts like myself who’ve had them atop the cbb world since preseason but it’s stunning how Bruce has separated this program from the rest.

Anyway, hope y’all dickbirds had a nice Thanksgiving.

I don't remember George Mason or Loyola fans being like this after their fluke runs.

They didn’t have Bruce Pearl. Nor do they have the financial resources Auburn has. Keep thinking pearl just a one year thing though.

I'd be cheering for Auburn instead of Indiana as well.

They have a much larger presence on the scout boards.

Plus I don’t recall either with the #1 team in the country following their final 4 run.

    Except for Iowa, they are.

Nothing wrong with being #2, though. Winking

    Huh?

Anyway looks like the scientists at teamrankings.com have already taken notice and have Auburn projected as the #2 overall seed in the tourney: https://www.teamrankings.com/ncaa-tournament/bracketology/detail/

We’ll just have to enjoy it until the NCAA refs blow the whistle on his recruiting “double-dribbles”.

I like how that website lists the tournaments odds of over 50 schools with a 0% chance of making the tournament. That's my kind of math.

Yeah projected 6 seed. Obviously the science doesn’t support Michigan quite yet. Doesn’t love Gonzaga or UNC either so makes sense. Suspect a big W tonight would be a nice boost.

It’s pretty impressive stuff. Obviously it’s rounded from like .5% or lower can see that if you really want to take a deep dive into those bottom of the barrel squads.

I see. So those teams are all basically on the asymptote. Interesting.

I still think some of those odds are off. Oregon State at 15%, DePaul at 11%, Kansas State at 2%. Those all seem a little low to me. Oklahoma State and Butler at 85% seems a little high. Still fun to look at the numbers and consider the possibilities.

The Auburn guys aren't as good at this as the S. Carolina guys were a few years ago.

Probably a strong correlation between this take and Auburn having a much better basketball program than S Carolina ever dreamed of.

I'm confused, you started off saying that Auburn was the best team in the country, but yet the are getting the #2 overall seed? I thought the best team in the country gets the #1 overall seed.

Auburn looks solid to me, but I only saw them kick the crap out of a team for about 10 min a week or so ago, not sure how they've looked in other performances. They got some dudes for sure.

    No surprise there.

Anyway watching some of these other highly ranked clubs trip all over themselves just reinforces how good Auburn is. Bruce is such a blessing my goodness.

Is it too late for KU to get Auburn on the schedule?

Would be a good tune-up opportunity.

Yeah think it’s too late unfortunately. Would probably be closer than that bludgeoning in the tourney but I’d still expect a comfortable win for AU. Maybe we get to matchup in March again would be fun.

As long as he doesn’t lie about his shenanigans this go round, I’d assume the NCAA will allow him to get a finger on our rivals’ jerseys while they panic and dribble it off their own feet.

I mean, Auburn is about to three-peat with SEC titles and make yet another Final Four run.

“Blue blood” might be modest, imo.
