Eh, I skimmed most of the bullshit, and I was kinda with you guys until this. I wouldn't be completely shocked to see him on the first team, but to say he's one of the two best guards in the big ten right now in June is a little much.
Lol he’s like top 20 in next year draft projections. No other guard has his measurable/skill set. He’s extremely talented and will have a breakout season

You’ve been previously ousted a welcher clown who makes new usernames like an obsessed 7th grader. Ivey will be first team and Purdue will sweep IU again.
I’ve paid all bet losses. Just admit that you were all talk and didn’t actually think I would take you up on the ban bet. I get why you are backpedaling now. You aren’t confident Ivey will be a 1st teamer next year according to the Big Ten media and Coaches. Glad to see you’ve come around.

True or not that doesn’t guarantee 1st team. Sometimes really damn good players and NBA talents don’t make first team. The conference has a lot of talent.

So he's the 2nd best guard because draft sites think he could be a top 20 pick after next season? We don't even know who all is officially coming back yet.
Partly, yeah. There’s no other guard who projects higher, or has his skill set/measurables. He has all the tools and will make first team.

His measurables aren’t even that great lol. 6’4” is not a big guard in the NBA. There many other guards with superior height in the big ten. As for skill set, he’s a terrible 3pt shooter and it isn’t like he is an elite finisher or anything like that. He could have a big year, but there are many other guards in the Big Ten who are bigger and have a more proven skill set.

6’4 is fine height for an point guard, which is where he projects in the league. That’s bigger than Paul, Irving, Lowry, Conley, Curry, Young, Morant, etc.

But just because he projects higher as a draft prospect doesn’t mean he will get college awards.

Franz Wagner is the highest projected pick in the B1G this year. Yet he was on the second team for all-conference.

How is anyone projecting Ivey as a PG?

His combo of height and athleticism is not matched in the league. This has been stated 100 times. He took time to settle into things as a freshman but shot pretty well from 3 during last stretch of games. He also proved he was more than capable on summer circuit as well.

Maybe not “elite” but he’s a pretty damn good finisher lol. Shot over 50% from 2 last year.

Lol at his combo of height and athleticism not being matched. Just off the top of my head, Aaron Wiggins is both taller and more athletic than Ivey.

Oh and 2 solid games from 3 doesn’t mean he is a good shooter.

His athleticism and size puts him at a point guard in the league.

NBA teams draft based on upside. His shooting and ballhandling will improve with time.
Just because he would be a short 2 guard doesn’t mean he is a PG. He doesn’t have Pg skills.

Over 50% from 2 is not exactly impressive or something rare for a guard. Many guards in the Big Ten shot better from two are FAR better from 3.

He is projected on every site as a point guard.

Skills are something that get worked on. Westbrook was even more raw in his days at UCLA yet teams saw the potential.

Lol Ivey isn’t in the same universe as Westbrook athletically. He won’t last long in the league if he is trying to be a PG. Then again, as a Purdue alum, he likely won’t last long in the league anyways.

Shorter, less athletic, worse shooting Oladipo.

He’s a taller, worse shooting Ja Morant to me.

Seems you don’t understand how the NBA drafts based on this conversation though.
