Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith led the box office in 2005, the last year Illinois made it past the round of 32. Some other top movies in the box office that year included Wedding Crashers, Meet The Fockers, Batman Begins, and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

Do what led the box office when Juwan last beat Underwood.

Lol at declaring Plummer and Payne better than Miller and the alphabet.

Last year you also had a very good backup PG. You don’t even have an average backup PG this year.
Trent Frazier isn’t a good back up PG? That’s an interesting alternative reality that you have created.

Watching UC-IU. First time I’ve seen either this year. Damn, these QBs are inaccurate throwing the football.

Hail is annoying as fck a lot of the times, but it is a reach to say that Underwood/Illinois has been more successful than Howard/Michigan in recent years.

Juwan has as many tournament wins at Michigan (there’s only been one tournament since he’s been here) as the entire Illinois program does since 2006.

Tier 1
Michigan Illinois

Tier 2
Purdue Ohio State

Tier 3
Maryland MSU Indiana (w/good coaching)

Tier 4
Rutgers Wisconsin Indiana (w/bad coaching)

Tier 5
Who cares

Tier 6
Minnesota

Thats fair. I disagree on a bit but I dont think its wild. You may be right and I may be wrong.

I hate Purdue as much as anything, but how can you possibly not have them in the top tier? You would be better off switching Illinois and Purdue in this prediction.

Since Juwan has been coach of Michigan, Illinois leads the conference in wins.

We got upset by Loyola and unfortunately the tournament was canceled due to COVID the year before.

It’s silly to use one tournament as the barometer of success when we have 40+ games of in common opponents in conference over that span.

Nah, we have a better backcourt and the best center in the country.

Juwan won as many tournament games in the first tournament as a head coach as Illinois has since 2006 as an entire program.

So you are actually going to say a backcourt of Curbelo, Frazier, and Plummer is better than a backcourt with Curbelo, Frazier, and Ayo? You are essentially saying Plummer is better than Ayo.

Better backcourt than Purdue…

Historically, Purdue has the most B1G championships, but that clearly doesn’t make Purdue the best B1G program of all time.

I agree. I have Purdue, OSU, and Michigan as the top tier. I'm lower on Illinois than most but I can definitely see the appeal to them. The frosh to soph leap is a real thing and if Belo makes it, then I can see Illinois. I'm just a little less confident in that. I also don't know the Illinois roster as well as the Illinois guys so that could explain why they are so much higher on them.

If the frosh to soph leap is to be considered, than Ivey, Newman, Edey, and Gillis for Purdue has to get the bump too right? Purdue was one of the youngest teams in the nation last year.

OSU is not top tier. If they had Washington still then yea, but they don’t.
