I was curious. I don’t have tiktok and find it particularly annoying listening to my wife listen through her feed. But I did like the “Rags to riches” trend because I ended up loving the song.
Best part of TikTok is watching stupid hot women in very little clothes dance like a stripper.

Of course, that gets really creepy when you realize some of those “stupid hot women” might not even be 18.

You dick, I had no idea you played for Everton.

I ran a poll on our homeboard about who everyone thought our leading scorer would be. I included Tyson Walker, Max Christie, Gabe Brown, and Joey Hauser. Every single on them got somewhere between 20-30% of the vote. Christie leads with 28% of the vote.

I think some are too high on this team. I see us somewhere in 6-8 with Indiana and Rutgers. Too many unknowns to have us any higher.

If it's Hauser, yore in trouble.
Hauser has shown he can score the ball. Hell he had 27 against you guys. But if his shot isn’t falling he isn’t bringing much. Defensively he sucks and he’s not great with the ball in his hands.

Has he started collecting social security like Boudreaux yet?

Yup, that was never the problem. It's all the other things. Still think it's a bad fit at MSU.

I agree. I want Malik Hall to start. Not quite the shooter but much better at all the little things.

I think us actually having a PG in Tyson Walker with Jaden Akins as a back up will do us wonders. Everyone we tried at PG last year was ass. Hauser in an off ball role as a stretch big could be pretty good and I’m hoping he can just be that. Asking him to do too much means you’re team isn’t that good.

He's a finesse guy. Not a banger like MSU typically has. Stretch 4 or 3 in limited matchups. Wasn't he playing the 5 at times last year? Either way, down low isn't his specialty.

We tried to play him and Malik together at the 4/5 and it was a disaster. He rim protection was laughable. We got abused early season when we played them together.

A big reason we got better to end the year that doesn’t get talked about a ton is Marcus Bingham seeming to figure it out defensively in the pick and roll and clearly become our best option at the 5. Bingham is never going to give you a ton of buckets but if he can be a rim protection presence and a rim running kind of guy, you can be good with that. Our PG situation never got figured out but Bingham was clearly the best 5 to end the year.

@jwardelt out of the 3 PF’s you signed this class, which one are most excited for? Can any of them play multiple positions?
Early on I would have said Mors. Now I'm thinking Ilver might be the best when all is said and done. Kind of a poor mans Dekker potential. I think Mors/Ilver can play the 3/4, although the 3 might be problematic defensively for Mors. Hodges likely is 5 all the way. I'm hoping he's kinda of like the MSU bruisers of the past. Doesn't quite have the bulk yet but he's got long arms. I think he opted out last year so I don't expect anything from him this year. Ilver could surprise this year.

There are so many unknowns this year. I'm very excited to see how this new group (basically the whole team) does w/o the charmin baby shit soft group that just left. Minus Bruce Almighty of course.

What are you talking about. Hauser is a great post defender. He should guard Trevion Williams whenever he is on the floor against Purdue. It worked so well last year!

I just don't get how Gard recruits and sculpts a team as soft as last year's team. Did Bo Ryan ever have teams that soft?

It wasn't all sunshine and rainbows under Bo. We had some lean years. We've been soft in the past for sure. MSU ate our lunch more than once because our guys were soft.
