He has some weaknesses like perimeter defense and passing….not much other than that

Curbelo will make some all American lists …not necessarily first team but he can make a couple of lists.

You just had conflicting statements. You said he WILL make some All American lists. You followed that up by saying he CAN make some AA lists. He has never been the focus of the defense. He’s a horrendous 3pt shooter.
If he does make AA, do you think Illinois will finally make the Sweet 16? Tom Crean had 2 Sweet 16s and a Big Ten championship by the end of year 5.
His shooting is certainly a weakness though. This is the same for many centers. Not sure why it should be ignored.

That’s probably fair. Ayo is gone and the perception is that he really made this team tick, and they aren’t wrong. But this team is still really good and I think it is much deeper than last years. The difference between us being good and great, IMO, is hutcherson. I can’t wait to either be proven right or mocked starting in January about him....but I expect big things from him.

He’s the same age for his class that Kofi was for his. Did you notice a jump between Kofi’s freshman and sophomore year? I see 4ppg more and a massive FG% improvement.
