Not sure if many of you remember Bobby Roundtree, but he was Illinois best NFL prospect 2 years ago before paralyzing himself diving into a swimming pool. Illinois fans had rallied around him and supported him through his recovery since the accident, and his progress was something that a lot of us followed closely.

Heartbreaking news that he passed away at the age of 23. He was an inspirational individual to many, and he always maintained a positive outlook even through what certainly was a difficult time. The world lost a good one.

No change on futures level for Illini on FD Sportsbook. Still T-16. A potato claimed that Illinois would jump Purdue once Kofi announced. He also said that they would would be ranked ahead of Purdue in preseason rankings.

Curbelo is good (around a 3rd team ish guy). Frazier is just decent. Absolutely no depth, and their 3 is a D3 transfer that hasn’t played in 3 years. Yet somehow Gil thinks they have the best backcourt in the conference.

Got upset in a single elimination tournament … sucked, and it’s over. Still had a great season to earn a 1-seed and return the type of team that could do the same. You’d have to be a pretty big hater to not think Illinois will be a conference contender. Which you are, of course.

Curbelo is good (around a 3rd team ish guy). Frazier is just decent. Absolutely no depth, and their 3 is a D3 transfer that hasn’t played in 3 years. Yet somehow Gil thinks they have the best backcourt in the conference.

Yeah, it sucks having Plummer who averaged 13.6 ppg for Utah off the bench. Plus Da’monte Williams, who is a defensive specialist that shoots 50% from 3.

As a fan of one of the 3 teams returning an All American center, it’s really great that there was no drama with ours. It’s great to know he actually wants to be here.

Curbelo has lottery pick potential as soon as he develops his 3. Will he this year? Not sure, but I think he’ll be the best PG in the conference in short order.
