Big money and great facilities. A Midwest recruiting guy has said OSU is the second best job in the B1G.
I think OSU will take a step back this year but Holtmann is going to do very well at OSU
I doubt Holtmann would tell him not to come but he was going to visit in a few months but the kid pushed up his timeline after visiting UM/IU. When a kid pushes up his timeline and knows when he wants to commit, it’s usually not good for the school he hasn’t visited yet.

Seems like OSU basketball will always be second fiddle to football, especially while Urban is there.
Basically that the facilities are great and the administration has the money to provide a coach what he needs to succeed. He did make mention that is how most coaches see it for jobs in the B1G
Facilities, money, basketball players have the ability to become friends with future NFL stars, around an urban area, a lot less pressure than the football team but compensated financially like you’re expected to have a top 20 team every year. Plus add in all the talent in Ohio and surrounding states and it makes for a nice gig.
Agreed...talent is huge the campus is awesome. A great downtown is right there. Not your normal college town for sure.
At some point in the past 15 years I would have put it over IU. Not so much anymore with money finally getting pumped into the program. One of the reasons I am impressed with Archie is he is getting things done inside the program as well.
Under no circumstances would Osu FBall take a backseat to BBall, but it’s never mattered. They pump a ton of money into hoops and are the flagship University in a State that produces a ton of talent.

After reading the dumbass IU and Michigan fans going back and forth I want to see that as well.
Basically, which is sad. Sexual assault is awful and disgusting no matter the gender of the victims. It does need to be said that many of Nassar victims were children, which guarantees the difference in treatment of the two institutions. Understandable but OSU and that guy need to face the full extent of the law, just like Nassar.
Game day atmosphere and arena suck ass but OSU is tops everywhere else and they take care of the athletes in Columbus. However, football is king so national hoops recruits arent going to look there unless they are Ohioans.
I'd love to see IU and UM fans' reactions, but I dislike Iowa more for it to happen.

2nd. I seriously didn't think it was possible for multiple people who are able to hide behind a screen to be able to maintain a for the most part respectable forum like you all have. Seriously, much respect to everyone here for doing it!
Over the past month, I've had a lot of enjoyment keeping up with this thread. I tried to post a month ago, but kept getting the notice that I have to wait to make another post. So eventually I just gave up.
Its become a good community of B1G fans. Plenty of shit talking, but for the most part everyone is cordial.
And yes some type of connection with Luke Yaklich
I think we are past him allowing any other school getting in. He isn't playing this evaluation period and will probably decide by the end of next week.
Who do you root for so I know whether or not to immediately hate you?
