There is little defense played in these games, and half the time major players don't even show up (no Goins, McQuaid, Loyer, etc. last night for their respective teams). But its still fun to watch sometimes, and see how players have been working on their skills.

Ward did look slimmer, and showed some improvement in his handles and jumpshot. It was good to hear that Gabe Brown and Aaron Henry went at each other.

I think it was two years ago when Tum was playing at a high level at Moneyball. That was the year the Michigan guys played for 2-3 weeks. I recall reading the matchup between him and Derrick Walton was competitive and got a bit chippy.

Who the **** are you? 66 posts since 2001? I'd call that meaningless.

Regarding Pitino, did he get a high major job too soon? Possibly. But if you question whether or not he can coach, look at the job he did in one year at FIU. He inherited a train wreck from Isaiah Thomas. They had gone 8-21 the previous season and Pitino had only 5 scholarship players when he was named head coach. He had to fill 8 scholarships in the Spring recruiting period and was still able to get his team to the conference championship, where they lost by only 2 points.

UM doctor was getting intimate with kids under 12 for over a decade and UM allowed it. Did an investigation in 2006 but never fired him. Swept it completely under the rug and kept him working there for over a decade. Now there is new charges from a federal investigation. Interviewed two 14 year old girls and one 11 year old.

Seems like somewhat of a pattern to me. Both him and Nassar are UM medical grads.

We got the same. I guess I'm not liking the possibility that this could drag on a little longer. That just gives other schools like KU, Duke and UNC a chance to try and get involved. Hoping this thing is wrapped up soon, for IU of course! Winking

Not sure of when you were at Purdue, but in the early '90's there was Alfano's. They delivered to the dorms and had what they called "the Stuffed Breadstick". It was essentially a 12" long calzone that when you got it into your room, you twisted the corner off the bottom and held it over the waste basket for 2 minutes to let all the grease drain out. They were freakin' heavenly. Unfortunately, Mr. Alfano had an aversion to paying taxes and fled the country in '93 I think.
They also had Grog's pizza nearby. It was the nastiest pizza I have ever tasted (think cardboard with a slice of Kraft American cheese and 2 week old spaghetti sauce dribbled on top). But it was $3.99 for a 24" pizza delivered to your door. You could get about four meals out of it...if you could actually eat it.

Not that you asked but I believe Ohio State is still expecting him to take his official in August ( I probably just jinxed it ) listened to a podcast with Corey Evans today and he said you could flip a coin between the three. Osu hasn’t signed a HS PG in three straight classes and needs Carton or anyone really.
