In all honesty, a 6 seed can be a better spot for a tourney run than a 5 (theoretically speaking), but still the higher the seed the more favorable the early matchups.
Iowa is not out of reach for a 4 seed, though they would need to keep winning and get some help.

I don't think anyone disagrees with that. Iowa's fan support is full of people that got their GEDs at night school and their teeth at a walk-in dental clinic. That's the difference.
What kind of school you are is based on the fanbase mindset and support, not team success.

I think Purdue's fanbase would say the same but that doesn't make us a football school. And we averaged 4 times as many fans at football games than basketball games. Again, don't think that makes us a football school.
