****Official B1G In-Season Thread****

Hubert didn’t really have any answers, downsizing wasn’t the move vs a team that was living in the paint
In some fairness, when he decided to double, IU hit three's....Do that a couple of times, and now what?

Speaking of coaching, wonder if Kenny Payne will even see a 2nd season at UL. Talk about brutal & serious signs of someone being in over his head.

UNC offense is truly baffling to watch. No structure at all. But they did same shit at beginning of last year and made the final 4 and Purdue got bounced by St. Peter’s, wtf do I know.

I’m morbidly curious how bad it can get there. There’s a very real chance they don’t win more than 5 games. Given the context of Payne’s history at UL, I feel like they have to give him another year to right the ship but who knows. Maybe if he’s still clearly in over his head by the end of the year, a firing would be a benevolent escape for him. Because if he doesn’t rectify this next year, he basically undoes any legacy he had at UL.

He should. Here is the thing----Payne was in a bad, bad spot man. Hancuffed by NCAA. Couldn't get any portal guys---Who's gonna transfer to a school that could have been banned? TBH, I think next year we'll see a HUGE improvement by Louisville.

Get bigger players in so you don’t have to double, their paint defense was pathetic when going Nance at the 5 and no other big

They don't have anyone.....Bigger doesn't equal better. UNC had no one on their roster than could defend TJD one on one.

This question has nothing to do with your post, but conference realignment interests me a bit. If UVA could be in any conference which one would they choose?

One that will still exist in the future LOL

I think UVA would choose the B1G if they had a choice. Seems like the best fit for us. We don't have a SEC culture.

I think if (when) we head east again we will call on you guys. Seems like a perfect fit academically and athletically.

Didn't enjoy doing it, but bet FSU +15 and IU -4.5 last night, which worked out.

I said I wouldn't bet the Purdue-FSU game, but I was just certain we'd come out of the gates really slow. First road game for two of our starting guards after a huge weekend in Portland then a flight delay to go play a 1-7 team...everything screamed sloppy to me.

Indiana's next 4 games
@Rutgers
Nebraska
Arizona (neutral)
@Kansas

Not bad for December
Big November for IU. Should be fun.

MSU got through the gauntlet of November 5-3. Not bad. Would have liked to see 6-2 but between travel and injuries I don’t know.

We took losses on an aircraft carrier to Gonzaga, out in Portland vs Bama, and at ND in a true road game. I don’t know what all that means but happy to get wins over UK, Villanova (they look out of sorts), and Oregon.

Hopefully December is kinder. Looking forward to Big Ten play.

Could've had double digit assists but we were throwing up some bricks last night. His ability to take over a game as a facilitator is just something we've never had under Painter.
Not bad for an unranked 3* lol

Maryland raises you with

Illinois
@Wisky
Tennessee (neutral)
UCLA

Yeah, well:

Minnesota
Hofstra
@ Nebraska
Davidson (N)
New Orleans
Florida A&M

KenPom has us with a 63% chance to get to January undefeated. We better not step on our dicks. No reason why that shouldn't happen.

Ahh the Turge school of scheduling minus the Duke and Gonzaga games of course
Well, the B1G schools were decided for us. And we've also played Marquette (#33 at KenPom) and WVU (#25).....and FSU, who should suck a lot less than they do.

Our current SOS is 18th. It will drop a lot over the next few weeks.

Yea Turge would have either a WVU or a Marquette type game. He would scoff at having both

Braden Smith 3* unranked

Khristian Lander 5* top 25

Seems legit...
