Not sure how Michigan St. Scored Colorado here as a first round matchup. Auburn and Iowa st. Should have probably been split up .

3 top 5 teams along with another top 10 team with one being 2 time defending national champs. If Auburn or Iowa st. Were to win this they would have to likely beat 3 top 10 teams.

Odd to see a #4 v #5 for game one of this tournament. Usually better seeded to promote better games for rounds 2 and 3. If they flipped Colorado and Iowa State it would have been much better.

That being said, UCONN is the easy pick because they have by far and away the easiest path.

Yeah, I mean the way it is set up it does all but guarantee a great matchup each day. It is a little unfortunate for Auburn and Iowa state that they get such a tough draw. Each would almost certainly have to win 3 really tough games on consecutive days where as UConn could cruise to the finals. That said, as a barner I look forward at the opportunity to boost the strength of schedule and record. Should have never lost to Yale I know, but the seeding and location/turnaround of our opening pod was just really tough to swallow. Right now the only thing I'm dreading is is that winners bracket bottom semifinal game at 11:00 pm eastern.
