Strange. It seemed he was going to take over next year. Any reason? Does he want to be the star or something?

This is just me guessing btw and brooks was going take over at pg next year not dejulius. Dejulius and his camp have always thought he was better than he actually was, he waited a few extra weeks to commit because his camp thought uk was going recruit him (lol). He was never going be patient.

Always got those vibes from that kid. Put up good stats in high school because he played with blinders on. Super ball dominant. Hey, at least he turned out better than the Mr. Basketball of his year, Foster Loyer. I still can’t believe I talked myself into a 5’10 unathletic kid being a productive high major player.

    Legit missed you B1g guys.

I snuck on once or twice..
just couldn't keep up here with two boys playing (high school) ball.
    Much more available time now!!

I hope each of your families remain safe and healthy during this pandemic.
I don't know about you, but attempting to keep my olds indoors is a full-time job.

I've got three boys at home, two teenagers. It's been easier to convince them to stay home, XboX and chore for days than to convince my Father in Law to not go bowling on Monday (and BINGO on Thurs, I'm sure).

That is without Lander as well for IU. Which will be a nice boost in the backcourt

Aiken seems interested in MSU, UM, Maryland, and Seton Hall. I would love to have him but to be honest, I doubt he comes to MSU. He is a redshirt Senior, what he needs is to improve his draft stock. Seton Hall needs him most next year and it’s 15 minutes from where he grew up.

AIken was going commit to michigan had we not gotten Simpson. That was under the previous staff though, like you said people seem to think seton hall is the likely destination now. I do have my doubts about these Ivy League points(mike smith is another one) translating, they put up big numbers but so did Jaron Simmons at ohio and he was not good at michigan. Ivy to high major is an even bigger jump than Mac to high major.

That’s true. He did drop 30 on Maryland before he got hurt though. I don’t think he’s gonna come in and average 17 or anything, but MSU simply needs guard depth. We have 3 guards on the roster right now, Rocket Watts, Foster Loyer, and a Freshman A.J. Hoggard. I guarantee we add a grad transfer even if it isn’t him.

Loyer would probably not start in the MAC. We have to make Rocket run point and Aaron Henry play the 2 because he’s so bad we can’t play him serious minutes.

Hoo yah K. I have three teenagers home now. Trying to keep the oldest home out of the VCU bars and sorority apartments is tough. Keeping My 90 year old Dad home not been easy. Hard headed is not a strong enough term.

    Please stay safe.

Why Michigan so high? I don't see them being better than this year even with that class.

yep, He was not as physically or emotionally ready for the brutal B1G. Holtmann believed he would get stronger and he didn’t and instead just got frustrated he was not playing much.

It’s not 100%, But what I’m told by a team insider is He’s frustrated, been sick, not ready for physical B1G, unhappy with playing time. He saw the other 2 freshmen play and excel (until Carton took leave).
Again so far as I know this has not been announced and is not official.

Weird. He was very highly regarded as a recruit. Hopefully it pans out for him. I know it was between OSU UNC and MSU for him. I could see him transferring to UNC. Probably not us, we need guards.

I'll take our wing group of livers, Wagner, and Christopher over anyone in the country.

    Pg-Brooks
    Sg-Christopher
    Sf-Wagner
    Pf-Livers
C-Some combo of Todd, johns and Dickinson

with a bench of zeb Jackson, dejulius or a grad transfer pg, davis, maybe castleton, bajema

I hope he does well also. And he could go somewhere and it could all kick in for him. But if he goes to B1G, he needs some bulk.

Damn that’s a good team. If all the recruits pan out, you get Christopher and Todd actually comes, that’s a really good team.

Ah yes, another lazy list likely looking at AP rankings and seeing who is returning and then drumming up a top 25.

Concur on MSU being top 5 if Tillman returns. Iowa and Wisconsin are fine in the 11-15 range.

On the other hand, OSU will go from a top 10 team in Kenpom/Torvik to out of the 25 by losing the Wesson kids, but likely adding a 'healthy' Carton and Sueing (who will be a stud). Sure Jeff.

Meanwhile, Michigan will also go from a top 15ish team on Kenpom/Torvik to out of the 25 by losing Simpson and Teske, but adding four top 100 kids including two Jordan Brand players. Again, nice lazy work by Goodman. Probably looked at the AP rankings to build a top 25.

Rutgers is a nice story, but they should be in the 25-30 range for next season. Still good tho.

Concur. Around 5 with Tillman. Around 14 w/o him based on the current roster.

Hauser is equal to adding a five star recruit. Watts will be one of the best guards in the Big Ten with a year of growth.

We all have to remember that roster's may look very, very different when the new transfer rule is passed. August could be free agency.

    Wut?

As the rosters stands right now, Michigan will likely have a mid first round pick (Todd), borderline first round pick (Wagner) and second round guy (Livers) in the 2021 NBA Draft.

Yes, Simpson is the straw that stirs the drink, but Michigan's frontcourt (3-5) will be one of the best in the country (probably tops in the conference).

If Tillman comes back our frontcourt of Tillman Hauser and Henry got you guys beat, but regardless, I’m high on this UM team for next year as much as it pains me to say. You guys are gonna be fun to watch.
