I went to the Cubs playoff game in Pittsburgh the year before the World Series win. The win felt great but I felt terrible walking out of there with all the Pirate fans who were miserable.

As a Nats fan who has been thru three (3) brutal Game 5 losses AT HOME, there is not much better than a game like yesterday. Being there made it that much more enjoyable! Lets go Nats!

Rumors that Liddell is not happy at OSU right now. If he leaves, that would be a big hit on their freshman class. He's going to be a stud.

This gem is pure gold. It sounds like Fran’s finally going to win that national title!
this year expecting Iowa to make the sweet 16 getting that monkey off his back. next year I could see them competing for the BT Championship.

to win the NC it takes a lot of luck. also Izzo only has 1 NC and its the only one in the last 20 years by a BT team.

but thanks for saying that.

I thought Lamar Stevens graduated last year for some reason. I can’t wait to watch him flex after an &1 when his team is down 18 in the first half again.

over/under 25 minutes before Hail loses his mind Teske didn’t make the list?

Eastern? Must be a down year for the league.

Iowa won't even sniff a Sweet 16 this year or next. NIT Sweet 16 maybe. Not the real one.

they were a OT from beating a 2 seed from making the sweet 16. the 3rd straight loss to a #2 seed. from making the sweet 16. this years team is deeper and more talented than it has ever been plus it is more spaced out as well. no more 4 SR srarters being backed up by FR.
2 SR's both will be backups.
4 JR's
3 SO's
3 FR's
Jordan = 1 of the 4 JR's.

I like Eastern a lot, but I think he was picked b/c of how much the B1G lost, and the fact that you know you're getting defense and leadership with him. Wouldn't be surprised at all if he's not there by season's end.

Defense is good. Will be interested to see how his offense has progressed. With how much the league lost, there’s a lot of guys that can make a jump into the top 10-15 this year.

If my top 150 list is accurate, the Big Ten has the most high-end talent. By quite a bit, actually. Here are the top 30 players by conference. I probably overvalue the mid-majors a bit. I could realistically see Merrill, Ford, or Aiken making an All-American team, however.

Big Ten (7)
1. Cassius Winston, Michigan State
8. Jalen Smith, Maryland
14. Lamar Stevens, Penn State
17. Ayo Dosunmu, Illinois
26. Zavier Simpson, Michigan
28. Kaleb Wesson, Ohio State
30. Anthony Cowan, Maryland

SEC (4)
13. Kerry Blackshear, Florida
18. Anthony Edwards, Georgia
20. Tyrese Maxey, Kentucky
23. Andrew Nembhard, Florida

Big XII (3)
5. Udoka Azubuike, Kansas
10. Tristan Clark, Baylor
11. Devon Dotson, Kansas

ACC (3)
4. Jordan Nwora, Louisville
6. Cole Anthony, North Carolina
12. Tre Jones, Duke

Pac-12 (3)
16. Nico Mannion, Arizona
21. Tres Tinkle, Oregon State
29. Isaiah Stewart, Washington

Big East (2)
2. Myles Powell, Seton Hall
3. Markus Howard, Marquette

AAC (2)
7. James Wiseman, Memphis
9. Jarron Cumberland, Cincinnati

Mid-Majors (6)
15. Antoine Davis, Detroit
19. Sam Merrill, Utah State
22. Jordan Ford, Saint Mary's
24. Anthony Lamb, Vermont
25. Lamine Diane, CS Northridge
27. Bryce Aiken, Harvard

Yeah completely agree. Lots of guys could come out of no where. I'm expecting someone like Muhammad from OSU to take a big jump. Obviously Henry is another that's primed to take a big step forward as well.

He's been the coach at Iowa for how long? That's sad.
tell me just how easy it is to recruit the top players from across the country to Iowa?

KF has been the FB coach @ Iowa for 20 years and he does not pull in 5* players every year, despite putting players into the NFL,

Iowa is not the type of school that is a magnet for top recruits, Fran has changed that. this last weekend top 100 4* Sibley came in on his official visit and he cut his list to 2 with Iowa being one of those 2. in the past that would never have happened. getting Cook would have been unheard of. even Garza from DC would have been damn near impossible.

Fran has changed that. sure it took him 6 years to get it changed, the last 3 years he has had the advantage of getting the top instate talent home like Jok, Jordan even getting Uthoff to transfer and keeping top 50 Woodbury home vs his going to UNC, that was his 1st big recruiting victory.

the culture about recruiting players to Iowa has changed. like it or not getting 4 top 100 4* by ESPN and 2 other 4* players on the same sguad at the same time is a MAJOR change for Iowa since Davis was run off after his team made the sweet 16 in 1999.

I also wouldn’t be surprised if he’s not there by season’s end just because of his lack of offense. He is a guy that will play great defense, rebound really well for a guard, get a lot of junk baskets though. I’m guessing he’ll average close to 10-12 ppg & do all those other things, idk where that’ll land him by season’s end though in regards to all conference teams.

The word out of our summer trip to Spain and early practices is Ron Harper, Jr. might be the guy to make that "big jump" as a Soph at Rutgers.

Yea, I think you could put about 10 guys in that last spot. At this point its just throwing darts in the dark.

Because Iowa is getting guys to visit? Oh yea. Beyond pissed. What fantasy land do you live in?
getting players like Cook and Garza is the start. keeping Wieskamp and Woodbury instate was the start, getting Jok to stay home and having Uthoff transfer to Iowa, shows just how much the recruiting and the draw that Fran has recruited, both ended up 1st Team All BT
Foster in the next Instate kid but if he goes to ISU that will mean that the instate kids are staying in state, so for the state of Iowa its a win win. keeping the top players from leaving the state is a positive.

Grayson is a dirty player, no argument there. Just feel like I'd rather be tripped than poked in the eye. Once might be an accident. But three times?

Adam Woodbury is a dirtier player than Grayson Allen. True or False?
false, and I have seen worse eye pokes than Woody ever did, one caused the player needing Eye surgery to save his eye sight. many Iowa players had their eyes raked. knocking them out of the game, not to mention Iowa players taking blows to head and Elbows thrown the back of their heads causing numerous players to suffer concussions,

there a far more dirty players that Woody could never come close to being. try again ass wipe.

Jordan Bohannon didn’t even get a concussion from that “blow to the head”

Honestly with how bad I sprained my left ankle a couple of times playing basketball, I’d take getting poked in the eye all day over getting tripped. & I can’t imagine how people that have torn their acl feel when they get tripped intentionally.
