But you’re leaving out the fact that osu was supposed to be dog shit. Like really really bad. They were a conference contender because they played a little over their heads in the middle of the year and the schedule wasn’t hard (only played MSU and Purdue once).
I’m a realist. Losing to psu again sucks but it is what it is. This team didn’t make the NIT last year and now they are probably a 5 seed in the tourney. Im looking forward to seeing what Holtman can do in the future.
In all seriousness UM is playing better basketball than anyone in the conference right now. Easily a sleeper final four contender.
Chambers at Penn State and Tim Miles at Nebraska are both very likely to miss the tournament
I kind of feel like Penn State may need to win the B1G tournament to get in the more I look at what the committee claims is important.
But the good news for them is theyve bought one more season and both(should) return the vast majority of their players.
But as we saw this year with Minnesota and NW, returning all of your best players from tournament squads isnt even a guarantee to fet you in. Hell, 4 or 5 years ago Nebraska returned everyone from a tournament squad and missed it again themselves.
If either one returns everyone they should return and STILL misses the tournament next year, they will almost assuredly be fired because they both multiple NBA guys and those guys will be upperclassmen next season so if they cant win with what looks like the most talent PSU and Nebraska can expect to collect, then they most lijely arent the guys for the job.

I have not but will look for it. I do love their Rupture and Drumroll, and the outdoor space at their brewery is sweet. Great place to post up.

You are honestly comparing Connor McCaffery to Carsen Edwards? Edwards was 1st team ALL BIG. McCaffery is not even a BIG caliber PG. He's a Missouri Valley Conference caliber player. He's on the team because his dad is the coach. You know LITERALLY NOTHING ABOUT BASKETBALL if you think this is apples to apples
UM is playing like a top 10 team right now. MSU and UM are two of the hottest teams in the country.

Wow. Iowa has NEVER had a guard like Carsen. Comparing McCaffery (or any Iowa guard for that matter) is laughable. Yikes that’s a terrible take.
How do y'all feel about moving the tournament up a week right now? I definitely liked it as the games are more intense than the other major conf regular season games. Today will be fun as well
I like that there is a Conference Tournament going on right now and wish there was one every year, but I wish it was never the BIG
Its going to end up as a huge advantage for the tournament teams in this conference to get that extra weeks rest. Not to mention, they now get an extra week of practice to just work on things they need to get better at, then can use the week after selection Sunday to gameplan.
I love it as a B1G slappy because I think youre going to see all 4 of our teams into the Sweet 16.

So As an addendum to all the travel difficulties, my buddy from austin isn’t going to make it at all, and he has the physical tickets. E-tickets were not an option for some reason, and we have been told that it is not possible for tickets to be re-issued. Thus, my friend (the only one that was able to make it in) and I are going to have to buy additional tickets. Ugh.

Next year will be a struggle as Matta basically lost 2 recruiting classes, next year is where we really feel it. After that I have no doubt Coach Holtman will have OSU basketball well represented. He has an excellent clsss coming in and if we add 5star Gaffney...sooner than later.
