Duke has moved up to 51st in AdjD, sits at 39th in Opp. FG% and 4th in conference play.

Still a long way to go, but starting to look a little better.

Since the loss to NCSU, Duke has played Pitt twice, Wake twice, Miami, UVA and ND. Not exactly the gauntlet when it comes to opposing offenses. With that said, Duke's D is definitely looking better. With Duke's offense, they don't have to be great on D to win it all. They just need to be good enough. The defense I'm watching is definitely good enough.

True. But Duke was playing atrocious defense against worse teams than that earlier in the year. Plus he acknowledged that Duke still had a long way to go.

UVA essentially has a 4-game lead over the rest of the ACC 10 games through the conference schedule

I'm going with 12-6 in ACC for us. Worst case 11-7. That should secure #2-4 at this point.

Tough loss for FSU. I know road games are hard but FSU needs to beat a team like Wake on the road.

It was pathetic. FSU led by 10 late in first and it should have been 15 or 20. 6 steals only led to 4 fastbreak points. Not good when you’re a team built to score in transition.

But we dicked around and let them hang in there, and then shot 0-7 from 3 in second half. Angola didn’t score until less than 2 minutes to go in the game. And our defense is WORST in the league in acc play.

Just an awful performance in a game that—thanks to our shit OOC SOS—could keep us out of the bracket in selection Sunday.

    Makes me want to puke.

We need to win 5 games. 21 wins gets us a bid, IMO.

Pitt and BC at home are 2. We should get 1 win against Clemson. I think we win an ACCT game, because we usually do. That’s 4.

So that means we need one of UVA, @NCSU, @ND, @Louisville, or both Clemson games.

Definitely doable. I was really hoping we'd keep the momentum after that Miami win. We've pissed away a couple of games that would've been big. That's basketball I guess.

The other issue that concerns me a bit is that ACC might not get as many bids this year. SEC will take a couple more than usual. BIG 12 will get 7

Yeah, we had def pissed a few away. But also won two in OT and another by 1. Like you said, that’s ball.

I was just more pissed with Wake because I could see it effing coming during the first half. We were generating steals but just not converting in transition. And then gave up the 3 at the end. You just knew those points left on the court would come back to bite us. It was like watching a train wreck in slow motion and not being able to stop it.

If we had a better OOC schedule we would be totally fine. It’s a shame our coaching staff continually costs us seeds/bids with our schedule. And this year there are several ACC teams that are suffering from the same thing.

That said, the Big 10 is way down and there are very few mid major conferences that will get more than 1 bid. I think the ACC still gets 8.

UVA wins at Cuse 59-44. Devon Hall didn't even score and it still wasn't close

In 2 games vs. Cuse this year, UVA has 34 assists to Cuse's 9

Good win for the Noles. Big game on Wednesday. UVA doesn't typically fare well in Tally.

Noles win a really good game at Louisville and move to 6-5 in ACC.

3 more wins and an ACC tourney win should get us in

Losing that wake game was a big blow

FSU is 7-5 against UVA since Tony Bennett came to Virginia. I was surprised to learn that...

BS. VJ King proved today that he should t ever handle any possession near the end of the game. Dude can’t pass, his shot selection is horrid.

UVA has 6 games left with their toughest being at Miami and at Louisville. They have a solid chance at going 18-0 in the ACC. Something I would have bet my life against ever happening. Pretty crazy.

Last year UVA went 23-11 and 11-7 in the ACC.

We graduated London Perrantes and then had 3 players transfer out. Started the season unranked and picked to finish 6th in the ACC.

Crazy what we've accomplished so far. We've already equaled last year's win total and topped last year's ACC win total.

Obviously y'all had some very talented kids redshirt, but yes Tony Bennett has done a heck of a job this season. Little bit of luck sprinkled in for good measure (as all great teams have).

Virginia being 12-0 and leading the conference by 3 games is incredible. Clemson being alone in 2nd place at 9-3 might be a bigger surprise.

Duke is in 3rd by virtue of a tiebreaker. But it feels like they are further back than that.

Clemson is definitely a surprise, look at their roster. Outside of Grantham who tore his ACL, you've got two group of guys. One group who couldn't cut it with their first college and the second group never got any major offers.

Experience makes up for a lot of other short comings.

But let's not overlook that Clemson has played the 11th easiest schedule so far in league play. Road games have been NCSU, BC, UVA, Wake, GT, and UNC. They lost to UVA, UNC, and NCSU and beat BC, GT, and Wake. So they have basically held serve at home and beat three bottom tier teams on the road.

They have played 5 games against the current top 6 teams in the league (Haven't played Duke, played UNC twice), with 3 games at home.

Yeah that was just a brutal loss. Typical UVA choke job. Fortunately, it really doesn't mean that much in the grand scheme of things.
