Coming to the end of the season, and we're getting a lot of other threads bogarted with this debate.

No secret on who I am going with.

Show me someone with demonstrative performance like Oscar has. On and off the court.

Johnny Davis has been a beast, especially in big games.

And off the court is largely irrelevant.

It may come down to the Purdue game. If Davis leads Wisky to a win over Purdue and an outright B1G title, I think he wins it. If not….

Kofi, Oscar, Holmgren, Agbaji maybe. I'm sure there are others.

I really like a guy like Liddell for OSU or Ivey at Purdue but don't think they have much of a chance.

Not going to put him in NPOY, but Bacot is being overlooked.

I am cheering hard every game for Oscar in particular. Such a humble and good kid. I just looked out of curiosity, and he would only be our second NPOY ever. Which is crazy to think about.

Player of the year is a political selection. For Kentucky to have a player of the year it has to be overwhelming; otherwise the votes from large population states will win out every damned time.

So my message to Oscar Tshiebwe is: play your game and don't worry about the player of the year.
Just come back and win it next year.

lol what? This isn't a presidential election

Someone that has the premium version of Kenpom (@dukedevilz) come in here and post the rankings from there. IIRC the gap between Oscar and #2 is quite steep.

And FYI - the only year that the KenPom KPOY also won the Naismith NPOY Award was 2015 with Frank Kaminsky.

Can't get past Minnehaha. What dickhead named that place?

Is this for National Poster of the Year? If so, I gotta go with Hawkit. He has increased his game to include rooting for multiple teams now.
