Notre Dame

Brey has did a great job considering the injuries.Wonder If Colson can come back and be anywhere near as effective as he usually is.Even though he has kicked our butts got three years he seemed to be a really good kid.Hate to see him lose his senior year

All things considered, they've been doing okay. Tough to lose to absolute stars and the leaders of your team. I can't even think of who would be the equivalent for Duke... Bagley and... Allen? But even they don't shoulder the burden like those two ND guys.

Don't forget about DJ Harvey too. It's really tough luck for ND. They would definitely be a top 6 ACC team and NCAA lock if fully healthy. They've been competitive in all of their losses except the Duke loss last night. Gibbs is a star and Geben is turning into a really solid post player.

And the Duke game last night came on the road less than 48 hours after their battle with VT.

FSU lost at BC on the Saturday/Monday turnaround, having our worst shooting performance of the season. UNC lost at VT on the Saturday/Monday turnaround, looking awful. No real shocker that a severely depleted ND team got blown out in Cameron on a 48 hour turnaround.

With the exception of last night, they've been pretty competitive without those guys. I read where in three of the five losses they haven't made a FG in the last three minutes of a tight game. I think it was the last six minutes when they lost to UNC. So these guys being forced into roles are doing fine keeping them in games, but they're struggling to finish. Hard to imagine Colson and Ferrell not being of help in that regard.

ND is missing 36 ppg in Colson (a 1st team All American) and Farrell (an All ACC guard), two seniors and their two captains. They're also missing DJ Harvey, their stud freshman 6th man.

Outside of maybe 2 or 3 teams in the nation, who could replace 45ppg and two players of Colson and Farrell's ability?

It's really shitty as an ND fan to think this group won't have a chance to battle in the NCAA Tournament this year, but that's life.

The Duke game last night may very well have been ND's first ACC loss if healthy. They easily could be 8-1 in league play if you look at the scores of their games and consider the 45ppg they are missing. They beat Carolina and Louisville undoubtedly with Colson.

Lol, imagine if ND had went to Cameron without Demetrious Jackson and and Jerian Grant... This is the same thing.

If Nova had Booth and Spellman last year they would've repeated. Injuries happen. We've already had 3 devastating injuries this year and are still #1.

Will be the first #1 out again too

Pretty confident that the OP started this thread to get a dig at Duke more than anything... he's kinda obsessed.

I think they went to Cameron with those guys and lost by 30 in 2015. ND did hand Duke 50% of their losses that year though. Great offensive team.

90-60. Okafor and Winslow had their way with ND in CIS.
