its not a football game. Expected to see some ku fans with a thread.

What’s the answer ku fans? Can the ship be righted without Dok?

I do think the ship can be righted. The Dok injury does hurt but KU's biggest problem is that they can't do the little things right in games.

From what I’ve seen, I think Kansas seems to be relying too much on Dedric Lawson. When he’s off, they seem to struggle.

Dok going out should have been a big opportunity for McCormack to step up and get some good minutes, but I don’t think he’s had 10 minutes since Dok went down.

Also, did Self bench Vick, or was I just not paying attention?

You were definitely paying attention. I think it was 30 minute to an hour before tipoff is when Self announced Agbaji was starting in place of Vick. Once Vick came into the game, he wasn’t in the game very long. We had 3....3 f**king shot clock violations alone in the 1st half. Guess who still had the ball in his hands as the shot clock expired in 2 of the 3 shot clock violations? It was Lagerald Vick. He’s a damn senior and he has the basketball intellect of a 7th grader. He plays whenever he feels like it. If moving without the ball to get open for a shot seems too hard, he will simply stand in one place looking like a basketball floor ornament. It appeared Vick had turned a corner in becoming a better player. What a mistake it was to put any faith in that guy.

The McCormick dude looked like a freakin' beast in the McD's AA game. Not sure why that hasn't seemed to carry over into the season.

It’s rare for Self to rely on a freshman big. Maybe only Embiid was a big impact freshman player since he’s been here? Probably Julian Wright as well but he wasn’t a typical down low big. Guys like Darnell Jackson, Kaun, Aldrich, Robinson and Ellis didn’t really do much until their sophomore or junior years.

As per usual, the rest of the Big XII produces a who's who of 3-8 seed caliber teams who are leaving the door wide open for KU to survive the De Sousa / Azubuike absences and keep the streak alive. If not now, then probably never, there cannot be a more perfect storm for KU to be knocked off its perch, we even pitched in with our lone conference victory to help the cause.

Probably because he hops around like a jackrabbit on speed when he gets in the game. Things are just moving to fast for him. I remember another guy who looked like a beast his freshman year but couldn’t slow down. Hopefully he turns in a career like that dude before all is said and done. The other turned into a first team all American and lottery pick by his junior year.

I appreciate that. Hopefully we can build on the good work by Iowa St, West Viriginia, and Texas. But it's @KU so we are going to have to be better than them by 10+.
