GBR...Big Ten Network.
This is like watching the 85’ Bears and 2000 Ravens square off.
Defensive adjustment by Nebraska would be nice. Turnovers and dropped passes by Illinois is the difference.
I was hoping for a 65 to 61 type game.
Maybe playing when they are all getting wasted after the game.
Get 13 off the field...he is kiling us on defense.
How fcking stupid Scott Frost.
You have 3 timeouts and you throw the ball.
Seems to have worked out okay.
I'm surprised no one is talking about how awful our uniforms are today. A different color for the helmet, jersey, and pants? Looks weird. Not to mention the absurdly small lettering for the names on the back of the jerseys.
It ended up as 6 so I’m not mad..
C'mon guys, let's get on the positive tip. We have 350 yards of offense at the half + grabbed 3 turnovers.
Like it, or not, this IS Frost/Chinander football. The B1G IS going to have to adapt to us....I hope you're on board with the New Era of Husker Football.
Nebraska is back
So is ya mudder, she brought slim jims & sprite.
Cornhuskers are a lot smoother and more efficient than even a couple games ago.
I like the unis
Old school feel...off colored white pants.
What does the wording on the back of the jerseys say? I initially thought it was their last names but it just looks like nonsense.
Frost is starting to get things going
Congrats huskers. You guys have started to put it together. Should carry over to next year.
Well well. Lookee nebby. New coach/scheme finally getting adjusted to.
Things are looking up. Congrats Huskers.
Good game today husker fans!
I'm calling it next week. We will beat Mich st by 14+.
Hope JD's Healthy, bro.
Yea I hope so. I still think we win. We have MSUs number for some reason and we are starting to click.
Frost will show some creativity in play calling too
....sighting of Illinois0.
In the last 5 games Nebraska's offense is in the top 10 in yards, points, and points per play. Nebraska has also scored 50+ points in a single season the most times since joining the Big Ten.
Not the victory, but the action
Not the goal, but the game
In the deed the glory
Thought it was a Big 12 game while watching
I think the point where it all finally clicked was the Northwestern game (a 31-34 OT loss).
In the first five games of the season, Nebraska was outscored 109-196, for a 21-39 average (going 0-5). Over the five games starting with Northwestern, they have outscored opponents 214-142 for a 42-28 average (going 3-2 -- losing in OT to the West Division Champion and by only 5 to Ohio State in Columbus).
What we have seen over the last 5 games is pretty much what Husker fans thought we were going to see from week one. We were terribly mistaken. But now that we can finally see what the Frost-era Huskers actually look like, it feels really good. I'm excited for the final two games of the season. I like Nebraska's odds in both.
When Frost and his staff recruit defensive talent to match the current offensive firepower, this sort of Big 12 track meet should be a thing of the past.
I was glad to see former Husker AJ Bush have a good day at QB for Illinois. Wish it hadn't been quite that good of a day. But our defense doesn't have to worry about any more duel-threat QBs until next year.
He had a pretty bad game though. AJ Bush is just plain bad.
Idk what's going on over in Champaign. How can they not find a single talented player anywhere? It's bizarre
I only watched the first half of the game, but I thought AJ looked pretty good. He ended up with over 300 yards total offense and 2 touchdowns.
Yeahh but he also had 2 INTs.
I guess he's the shiniest turd on that team though.
My grandma on a walmart rascal could've provided better secondary than the Illini
The Illinois 24/7 writer called Bush the best Illini QB since Juice Williams. I actually thought Nathan Scheelhasse was pretty damn good there just wasn't talent around him
Their WRs were awful. 4 or 5 hit them right in the hands. One of his interceptions was a perfect dart to the WR, he missed it right through his hands and it fell right to a Nebraska DB. Not a Bush apologist but all things considered I thought he played well. That mat have been the worst effort ive ever seen from a receiving corp
I loved the uniforms. I was at the game and most people agreed they looked good in person.
When it comes to the back of the uniforms. Here ya go. You're welcome.
Given my signature, I am slightly embarrassed.
