He may not be ready then, one can only hope.Roy should let him start by midway thru his junior season
Fingers crossed.Roy should let him start by midway thru his junior season
Yeah, me too. I mean not all 5* kids are OAD's. Now, most think they are. But most are not. Seems to me this kid realizes this. Plus, hey----dude wants to win.I like it, personally

Also, you are full of shit if you believe he thinks going to unc gave him the best chance to win. It gave him the best chance to be the best player on the team.
Might be. But my point was necessarily toward him. Just more in general. He is gone after this year, don't kid yourself.
LinkSure it does. Obviously UNC doesn’t have a noticeably better chance to win than some other teams... they are a bit down compared to some of the well known UNC teams, the ACC is generally strong, and UNC has a tougher schedule. But in terms of being the best on the team... On some teams (like Duke) he’d run the risk of being overshadowed by other guys. On this UNC team, he is the most talented, NBA-type talent, so whenever someone talks about UNC, Little will be the first guy mentioned (as well as Maye has done, he isn’t a physical talent like Little.)

1. North Carolina: 9 NCAA Tournaments, 7 Sweet 16’s, 6 Elite Eights, 4 Final Fours, 2 National Titles, 3 Championship Games, 6 ACC Regular Season Titles, 2 ACC Conference Tournaments, Average Seed: 2.7
Pretty simple here for UNC as the No. 1 team. They have absolutely dominated the ACC regular season, clearly one of the best conferences in college basketball every year. Throw in the fact they have the two titles, both with teams who were No. 1 seeds. Even without the most recent title, the Tar Heels would have been the best program the last 10 years. It’s truly impressive how consistent they are.

UNC will be just fine. Last years team was a “bit down” and they managed to beat Duke 2/3. If a player is worried about being overshadowed he’s not concerned about winning.
Has nothing to do with this year. Cool stats and all. Definitely worth bragging about. But he picked unc after shit got hot in Arizona. I am not even sure unc was his second option. Everything he says should be taken with a grain of salt, something that works for his current status. If he wanted to win this year, he chose a school that may compete for a title if the pieces fall right, but not his best option for winning. If he is saying he chose unc over Road Island, sure.Link

Nobody said it didn't give him a good shot to win. I am saying it doesn't give him the best chance to win. Not that hard to follow here.So there intelligent posters saying UNC doesn’t give Little a good shot to win? Hmmm...

Where is his best chance to win?Nobody said it didn't give him a good shot to win. I am saying it doesn't give him the best chance to win. Not that hard to follow here.
It's not that what he said was a shot at anybody. Just that it wasn't that great of a quote. We are challenging the OP more than we are Little.Don't really see what the issue is with what he said, it's not like he is bashing Duke or anything. Some of you should try not taking the bait.
Kansas, probably. Maybe even Kentucky, they have two teams he could start for. Virginia maybe. Villanova will probably be at least as good as unc at the end of the year, he would make them better. He could pile in his position at Duke?Where is his best chance to win?
Sure they will be just fine. Never said otherwise. But I don’t think UNC has any more chance at “winning” than some other programs, so I have a hard time imagining that’s actually why he picked UNC. I’d understand it better if he said he really clicked with Roy or loved the campus or really had chemistry with the UNC guys he’d be playing with.
UNC hasn’t been as good as anyone in recent years. They have a good balance between talent and upperclassmen.Kansas, probably. Maybe even Kentucky, they have two teams he could start for. He made a good choice no matter what. Playing for a program like unc is a prestigious achievement for an 18 year old. I just think you are making his comments out to be daggers more than just a kid justifying his 3rd or 4th option being unc.
You can say that about any top 5 recruit. Why did Wiggins go to KU? Bamba to Texas? Dennis Smith to NC State? Every recruit has their reasons why they chose that particular school to attend. Just because they didn't choose Duke doesn't mean they made a bad choice.
Many non-UNC fans (like myself)
What does Duke have to do with anything? And there are many reasons kids go to schools. My guess is there were a number of reasons he picked UNC. I doubt “winning” was really it... far more likely to be about relationships with the coaching staff or something like that.

If he didn’t wanna win he would chose a school like Oregon St, Pitt just to name a few. So Zion, Barrett and Reddish chose Duke because winning was secondary?
Nevermind. I don’t care enough why Little went to UNC.
