Thought about going on Shark Tank with this amazing invention, but decided to do the right thing and just share it with society for free.

Are you like me? Do you love CBB to the point where you feel the need to watch every single good game that's on tv? But, what do you do when there are multiple games at the same time? Such as tonight, WVA vs Baylor, OU vs TT and KY vs TA&M are all at the same time tonight. Sure you could DVR them all, but that damn pesky sports ticker on the bottom of the TV is going to spoil the scores of those other games you plan to watch later on in the night.

NOT ANYMORE! Mates, allow me to introduce you to the ticker blocker. Go to a crafts store, buy a black ribbon (3 inches thick) and double sided Velcro. Cut the ribbon to match the size of the TV, add Velcro to the back as well as the back of your TV. Attach one side of ribbon to the botom of the tv, when a game is on, attach the other side of the ribbon to the other side of the tv and voila, you've just created your very own sports ticker blocker! Covers up the sports ticker perfect and doesn't cover up any other part of the action.

Now you can sit back and enjoy every game you want without having to worry about seeing the score for a different game you plan to watch on the bottom of the screen. Every once in a while, you will get a cut away to a highlight of a game so be prepared to hit the Fast forward button if that happens.

I built this ticker blocker last year and now use it all the time.

Tonight, looking forward to watching all 3 of those games without getting any of the results spoiled.

Honestly though, I don't understand why there isn't an option to just disable the sports ticker? If ESPN can give you 4 options to watch a stupid college football game there's no reason they can't figure out a way to offer up sports without the stupid ticker being present.

This day and age the sports ticker should be as obsolete as the newspaper. Most people are connected to more than one device when they watch TV, if they really want to know another score they don't need a sports ticker to do it.

I've done something similar myself. It's pretty excellent way to not have the games ruined. However, games often have studio updates from games around the country. They often catch me by surprise, unfortunately.

yea the studio updates are tough, you just gotta be vigilent. One thing I'll do to help is when I have multiple games at the same time I'll watch all the first halfs first and then move on to the 2nd halfs, usually the biggest games first since they are the ones that might be used for game breaks on other telecasts.

I have to admit, the only thing I like so much I'd watch three of them is porn or Star Wars movies. And even then, it's barely for both.

It's the easiest way to see how bad Louisville is losing while watching Kentucky games though.
