Murray is by far the most dynamic of the 3. Him and Haskins are similar in the sense of what they had to provide for their team to win. Tua had an incredible year and this might be the best Alabama team ever (at least that I’ve seen) because of what he can provide and that’s saying a lot given the great teams Bama has had. With that said, I think Alabama is in the same position they are right now without Tua. That’s more of a testiment to how good and complete Bama is. I think Haskins is the best quarterback of the 3. He’s been disrespected all season in the shadow of these 2 and continues to be. Without Haskins, I don’t think Ohio State wins 9 games. Had the most passing yards and passing TDs in the country and had to play under pressure from the opposing D much more than the other 2. Not taking anything away from Tua or Kyler, they’re both great but the disrespect Haskins has gotten is ridiculous.

I think 9 years out of 10, all 3 of these guys win the heisman if they’re not playing the same year. Good luck to all 3. They’re all going to do great things in the pros (MLB included) and they all seem like great kids with a good head on their shoulders.

OU probably loses 4 games without Murray. Any of the 3 are good choices though and I won't be upset regardless of who wins.

    All 3 QBs are exceptional.
All 3 QBs make their teams BETTER.
All 3 teams would still be really good (but maybe not as good) with another QB.

B.S. OU has not lost 4 games in a long time. Once since 2000 IIRC? They would be just fine with another QB. Maybe not as good, but this OU would lose 4 games without Murray stuff gets old. I am an Iowa State fan and understand 4 loss teams. That being said, I think Murray deserves to win the Heisman.

I say this because Austin Kendall looked like crap then he did play. I wasn't talking out of my ass when I made that statement. I could be totally wrong though.

I just don't buy it. If the other guy sucks, that is a different issue. But let's not try to act like Murray is some kind of super savior that is making OU a Championship level team (which they usually are) instead of an average team (which they rarely are). Do you think Iowa State would be 12-1 and Big Xii Champs with Murray at QB instead of 8-4? I don't. BTW, not a Murray hater, but I do not like the false narrative trying to build him up (which he does not need). FWIW, I could be wrong too! ;)

Murray has had to be damn near flawless in several games for OU to pull out victories. It's not too far-fetched to say that OU would have taken a couple more Ls without his ability. If OU was beating people 50-10 instead of 50-49 this year I'd agree with you.

I feel like what Tua did at Alabama, winning the Championship in January and then living up to the hype all up until he got hurt, should win it for him.

Murray I feel, is just more of the same from the big 12. Tua Transformed Alabama into something we've not seen in the Nick Saban era.

OU would not be the same type of team, but they would be just fine. IMO, it takes more than a QB to go 12-1 and win the Big Xii. Of course, I could be wrong, and OU goes back to being an average team next year (without Murray). / sarcasm. :) Either way, good luck in the Orange Bowl.

Idk why Tua's performance in last year's NC would have any impact on the decision.

I think Murray likely edges Tua by a narrow margin of just a handful of votes. I want Tua to win but you can’t really question the season that Murray has put up though against far weaker defenses.

I also expect ‘Bama to make him (and OK) pay for beating Tua out for the Heisman. Can’t hurt to give some extra motivation to Tua and the ‘Bame defense.

You are kidding yourself if you don’t think his play in January doesn’t have an impact on the thinking this year. That game made him the front runner this year.

It is the example of what is used when people say he has never had to bring the team back from behind. Whether you like it or not, that picture is still in peoples minds.

Why is having to bring a team back from behind a factor? I don't care one way or the other. I just think it's dumb to use material from past seasons in how you vote. But it's a personal opinion and so is voting, just have to see how it shakes out.

Why play in January wouldn't impact awards given in December? That's what started the Heisman talk to begin with.

I don't know if Murray wining the Heisman is really going to motivate Bama any more. They're already favored and expected to win by two or more scores.

Yah going into the season. But once the games started being played for this season, any stats, or performances from last season shouldn't matter. Twist it however you want to, that performance should have 0 impact on the selection tonight.

Are you sure that the Heisman has a "this season" qualifier? Or maybe it's a "this year" qualifier. Or maybe no qualifier.

I think it depends on how many people sent their ballots in early before Tua got banged up. I would guess the majority of early votes went to him. Having said that, I fully expect Murray to win it and as many have stated any of these three would be deserving and in any other year, each would have run away with it.

I totally disagree with the Kendall statement. We never really got to see him much at all and when we did the game was already over. He started that one game but the drive ending wasnt his fault. You cant evaluate a guy honestly if he isnt allowed to sling the ball the way Kyler is. Now is he Kyler ? Not even close and who knows he may not win the job next season and likely wont but to say he looked like crap in a season which games didnt allow us to see his full potential in my opinion is unfair.

I do agree though I doubt without Kyler OU would be in the playoffs because I just think he is that special player that bailed OU out time and time again because of the defense. Could Kendall have done it? Who really knows outside of speculating.

QBR is weighted against the strength of the defenses played against. And Murray is just ahead of Tua in that metric. However, the highest QBR's of all time were recorded THIS year, by Murray and Tua.

ESPN continuing to disrespect Dwayne Haskins. Going to their website, there's an article about Tua vs Murray and how only 1 will win it. This guys playing his best football of the season right now and he shredded the #1 defense and added another 500 yards passing in the conference title game.

Haskins winning it would be awesome! Poor guy broke all kinds of Ohio State and B1G records, and he has been the red-headed stepchild of the Trophy circuit. Plus, he is a big guy! Makes Murray and Tua look like children.

That "#1" defense was based on statistics amassed in the b1G conference.

So in other words, it wasn't the #1 defense.
