You asked which was better, and various posters have given their opinion. You have your opinion, and others have theirs, which may nor may not match yours. Certainly both of these teams had excellent pitching.

Our baseball "guru" Star seemed to have forgotten when comparing win totals...'95 was a 144 game season bc of '94 labor dispute stretching into '95...and he doesn't want to post those ERAs that's for damned sure..lol...

    Edit..he did post ERAs..

Then why do you post here?....
This is CFB message-board...you claim to be a Florida gator fan, yet I have never seen you in a "thread discussion" about Florida football or any cfb talk.
If you think you are better than everyone else, maybe you should go find another place to spew your high end lifestyle, with your $52,000 high end salary.

Maybe Tomlin and Kluber (160 combined wins) can combine to win half as many games by the end of this season, as Maddux did (355).

Every time you cite win/loss record as a pitching stat, you prove how little you understand baseball. That was true when I said it two years ago and it's still true today.

Two current pitchers with their stats this season as of today.

    Pitcher A
    ERA: 3.87
    WHIP: 1.16
    K/9: 10.6
    BB/9: 2.55
QS: 6 (out of 14 starts)
    BAA: .235

    Pitcher B
    ERA: 2.81
    WHIP: 1.08
    K/9: 12.3
    BB/9: 1.8
QS: 12 (out of 15 starts)
    BAA: .230

Who would you rather have? Pitcher A, or Pitcher B? I'm especially interested in what @Starscream. has to say.

    Just for fun:

    Maddux career wins: 355
Tomlin, Carrasco, Kluber career wins combined: 243

Subtract Maddux' 5 best wins years....still ahead.

Hey ya'll good morning, last night was great had a 297 dollar dinner tab at one of my high end restaurants downtown and my date Emily loved it, the sushi and the top notch wine was pricey AF but who cares I got a nice 45 minute cardio workout when we got back to her place:D

But back to sports, and a history lesson

Tribe started here in 1869 as the Cleveland Forest Citys, we had 2 players who fought in the Civil War on that team, ya kicking ass on the battlefield and on the diamond, Reds are only the oldest franchise which started a few months earlier

Indians baseball has been in Cleveland for 150 years let that sink in, meanwhile Atlanta has had the Braves for 53 yearsLaughing By the time the Braves got to Atlanta in 1966 the Indians already had been in Cleveland for 97 years, again let that sink in

Braves started in 1871 in BOSTON so they cannot claim anything before 1966(ouch) they were born in another city, thats an embarrassment in itself

Again, this isn't a baseball board so I'm just kicking stats that might seem foreign to most

Oh, 2017 Tribes rotation is legendary but check out what we did in 2018

Only team in history that had 4 ispitchers in the rotation with 200+ strikeouts in a season, how you like them apples/stats

@leatherhemet is the only Braves fan I know on this board so its not a shot at him no disrespect

its just when you are the only 4th generation baseball fan on this forum I feel as though I need to educate, we dont even have a 3rd generation fan on here much a less a 4th like

I have family members who saw Addie Joss pitch as a rookie in 1902, don't think there is really anyone on here on my level, no disrespect to the Braves though and their illustrious 53 year history in Atlanta
