Cleveland needs to win the World Series first, which I expect them to finally do.

You're getting lazy with your work Opie. You literally only have to go back one year (Cubs) to find a better rotation.

Maddux: 20,421 batters faced. Only 310 got to a 3-0 count...

Easily The Braves, but they were even stronger pitching in 1997. Many consider that the best in history.

Gong with the Braves, but I firmly believe the teams in the 90s where much tougher and better than the teams now... hell how many pitchers do teams use during one game these days...? My lord I see 4-5 pitchers in one damn game. By the time the pitchers get in a groove they are taken out...

This is a question of power pitching or arguably the best placement pitcher of all time.

I'm sorry but I'd take a rotation of all Greg Maddux over the tribe any and every day.

That guy is a catchers and coaches dream. He's also a hitters nightmare.

    Indians rotation finished 74-33

    Braves rotation finished 61-37

Braves had 2 guys finish with losing records(Avery 7-13,Mercker 7-8)

    Indians dont have that ^^^^^

Braves had only 3 HOFamers in that rotation....Tribe can make a strong case all 5 of ours get in.

Damn, you don't understand The HOF at all.
None of the Indians' pitchers are anywhere close to having HOF careers.

The Braves had 3 future HOF starters in the heart of their careers. In spite of a delusional assertion by a poster Cleveland doesn't have a single one remotely close.

I'm a Cubs fan but I love baseball. For anyone to even try and debate that choice in rotation is asinine.

The one and only piece that would haveade the braves pitching rotation any better would probably be Nolan Ryan.

Maddux alone had more career wins than this entire Indians staff combined.
    ''5 HOFers...completely delusional.

Wins/losses are a team stat man, I would have thought someone who pretends to be a baseball expert would know that.

That '95 series was painful for Tribe fans. That fat ump was giving the Braves pitchers a mile wide strike zone, as if they needed extra help. Completely neutralized the Tribe's murderers row.

Bingo, this is the first thing that popped into my head.
It was a complete joke. I still think the ump was paid off.

In reality it would have been nice to see exactly how good Greg Maddux was if he had the same strike zone as 99.999999% of pitchers, umpires gave him a strike zone the size of king size bed.

The rotations I posted between that Braves team and this Tribe team is night and day, again...

    74-33 = '17 Tribe
    61-37= '95 Braves

Plus gotta remember the Braves pitchers only pitched against 8 man lineups with the pitcher being an automatic out in the NL.......AL pitchers face legit 9 man lineups....no P#### baseball over here.

Thats what makes this comparison(if you wanna call it that) even more shocking.....Tribes staff is light years ahead playing in a more difficult League. Wow...

This isn't really a baseball board( more redneckish like nascar, bowling, and cow-tipping) so its kinda hard to understand stats for most, but if you really concentrate it can happen, you can see it if you focus, stats dont lie.

In baseball some legends grow as the years go on, Braves 90's rotation is one but if you break it down they really aint shit(no offense)

    74-33 V 61-37

    ^^^^^^^^ guess that ends that

But Atlanta isn't a sports town so i didn't expect anyone to understand. Atlanta is a "transient city" where you have no true fans because nobody lives there their entire life, people come and go every 5 years. Atlanta isn't the only transient city.....LA,Houston,Charlotte,Seattle,Miami, and Las Vegas are others that have no true fans either. So bandwagon fans aren't really my thing.

So trying to kick knowledge on here about the Tribes '17 rotation is like trying to teach nuclear physics to a 5 year old.

I gotta get rollin' now about to go downtown for dinner, then off to casino with my new girl.......wish me luck. Peace out y'all.
